Jenny On Holiday
Tuesday 13th January
at Banquet Records, 6:00pm
Admission will be via order number, please bring yours to the shop.To celebrate the release of the new solo album 'Quicksand Heart', Jenny On Holidayvisits Kingston to play an in-store set.Jenny Hollingworth, best known as one half of Let's Eat Grandma, steps into her own with Quicksand Heart -- a 10-track debut that's equal parts tender and defiantTaking the playful alias Jenny on Holiday, she trades the band's surrealist pop for a lucid, heartfelt exploration of joy after loss, drawing on the energy of punky basslines, twinkling synths, and the crystalline clarity of her voice. Written in the quiet of Norwich summers and honed in London studios with producer Steph Marziano, the record distils her love for straight-talking lyricism and bold, immediate pop -- songs to be shouted in festival crowds or quietly carried home on the night bus.Rooted in the idea of a "quicksand heart" -- fragile, flawed, yet full of feeling -- Hollingworth turns vulnerability into propulsion, weaving stories that shimmer between cinematic drama and simple truths. It's a work that embraces pop's directness without dulling its emotional complexity.-Performance expected to start shortly after time shown.Priority will be given to anyone who orders a copy of 'Quicksand Heart ' from us. If there's space on the day for more people, we'll let you know!

The Cribs
Thursday 8th January
at Circuit, 8:30pm (14+)
Admission will be via e-ticket. Your e-ticket will be delivered to your email address in time for the show (typically the day before the event). To celebrate the release of the new album, The Cribs visit Kingston to play at Circuit (the venue formerly known as Pryzm). The Cribs return with their first album in five years ‘Selling A Vibe’, released 09 January 2026 via Play It Again Sam.After two decades and nine albums as one of Britain’s best-loved bands, the Wakefield-born siblings have weathered enough storms, onstage and off, to realise that an indestructible bond exists between them. For years, it’s fizzed beneath the surface of their sound, perforating every thrash of guitar, every snap of snare, every impassioned vocal, roared back at them at live shows by sweat-drenched, devoted crowds. But rarely have the band acknowledged this bond out loud. “It’s not something we ever really said to each other explicitly,” admits bassist and lead vocalist Gary. That all changed, however, with the creation of Selling A Vibe – their bold new album, which captures The Cribs at their bottle-rocket energetic best.Produced by MGMT and Caroline Polachek collaborator Patrick Wimberly, Selling A Vibe is an unapologetic celebration of family. It’s about finding your way back to health with help from those loved ones, the band explain. “On our first records, we were just writing about our individual experiences. That’s a really verdant field of inspiration, but as you go along, life points you towards bigger things to write about,” says Gary. “But this time, I realised when I was writing the lyrics that all of the songs were really rooted in family.”-Times TBC but we expect doors at 8:30pm with a stage time of 9:30pmEveryone attending needs their own ticket. Those aged 14+ can attend unaccompanied. 8 to 13 year olds must be accompanied by a ticket-holding adult (18+). No under 8s, sorry.Circuit, 154 Clarence Street, Kingston Upon Thames (KT1 1QP) - the venue formerly known as Pryzm.
