The Steal
Bright Grey
"The Steal have a new record out. I wish I wrote it. While you're worrying about touring bands, remember you have something very special right here" - Dan Yemin, Paint It Black. In late July 2008 The Steal wrote and recorded their second album "Bright Grey". Tracked in 2 days in the rainy Devon countryside this album represents exactly what The Steal were about. The release hit shops just under 2 months after it was recorded. Vinyl info: 300 copies on one-sided transparent grey with black smoke LP.

Metronomy
Nights Out
The second full length from Metronomy finally arrives! We love Metronomy and have had them play at our club New Slang a couple of times before. The singles that we've heard so far from this record have been amazing and we can't wait to hear the rest of the album! It's hard to pigeon hole Metronomy because they don't really sound like any other band I can think of right now, but all you need to know is that their indie-tinged electro is some of the best stuff we've heard over the last couple of years. Metronomy playing our club night New Slang!

Friendly Fires
Friendly Fires
Finally the debut album from Friendly Fires is upon us. This band are absolutely brilliant, and this album would be worth the money just for the track 'Paris' alone. But luckily Friendly Fires have a lot more than one good track and this album features some of the songs on their two excellent 10" EPs as well as whole bunch of new stuff we can't wait to hear. CD2 (only with deluxe version): 1. Kiss Of Life 2. Bored Of Each Other 3. Relationships 4. Skeleton Boy (Single Version) 5. Paris (Aeroplane Remix) 6. Jump In The Pool (Thin White Duke Remix) 7. White Diamonds (Ray Mang Remix) 8. Skeleton Boy (Air France Remix) DVD (other side of CD2): 1. Friendly Fires Live At The Forum 15th May 2009 2. Kiss Of Life (Video) 3. Jump In The Pool (Video) 4. Skeleton Boy (Video) 5. Paris (Video) http://www.facebook.com/FriendlyFires

Algernon Cadwallader
Some Kind Of Cadwallader
Vinyl reissue of the debut album from the Philadelphian mathy-punks Algernon Cadwallader. Original write up: If you're wondering, it's pronounced "Al-jur-non Kad-wall-uh-der". I don't know what it means either. Cap'n Jazz/American Football-esque twiddly indie rock all the way from Philadelphia. This will totally blow the minds of fans of Hot Club De Paris, Dartz!, Stapleton, and anything vaguely Kinsella-related. Dave House toured America recently and played a show with the band in their hometown, and made us really jealous. This album is absolutely amazing.
