Night Letters
Witness To The Love
It's hard to believe that the eerie instrumentation and atmospheric undertones of Night Letters grew out of the DIY punk scene. Vocalist Tony 'TK' Klein (More Than Life) and guitarist Kai Sheldon (Landscapes) have been friends since school, both hailing from the same small town in South West England. Tours in mainland Europe with UKHC heavyweights Dead Swans brought Benny Mead into the picture and all three bonded over drums as TK, then drummer for More Than Life, fondly recalls 'I was blown away with Benny's drumming and he inspired me to be a better musician'. As with so many touring experiences, friendships formed that would last a lifetime.
In 2012 TK found himself living and working in Berlin, another local resident just so happened to be Adam Crowe from Australian hardcore crew Miles Away. 'We started hanging out and talking about our experiences playing in bands and after a quiet period with More Than Life I approached Adam and asked him if he was interested in starting a new project. He was up for it and we recorded ‘Reflect the Sky' in Berlin". To begin with, Night Letters was just a two-piece studio project but after Germany's Day By Day Records agreed to release the EP it quickly became clear that the music had no ceiling and the demand for live shows brought Benny and Kai back into the fold.
In 2018, now a four-piece, Night Letters entered British studio the Ranch to record their debut album with producer Lewis Johns (Funeral For A Friend, Rolo Tomassi). TK is aware of the band's roots and how important the punk rock scene was to them, 'We're still and always will be hardcore kids but we felt like we needed something that represented us now as adults. We took a lot of elements from hardcore, the build-up parts, the explosive energy in the guitars, the dynamic drums and brutally honest lyrics. I'm still angry but It's a different type of anger now. I'm not angry at the world so much, but I am still trying to find a connection. Trying to find out what makes us who we are, exploring our mental environments, and adapting to the changes life throws at us'.
'Witness to the Love' is a hardcore record at heart - honest, raw and passionate. But it's also far more than that. Night Letters blend elements of shoegaze, indie and dream pop to create a sonic wall of sound that leaves the listener bathing in alt-rock ecstasy.

Citizen
Life In Your Glass World
We're the UK/EU carriers for the 'half blue / half green' coloured vinyl, /300 worldwide. The highly anticipated fourth full length album from one of Banquet's fav bands of recent years Citizen, mixing up a wide range of punk, post-hardcore and emo, paired with Mat Kerekes inimitable vocals, brooding atmospherics and pulsating bass grooves. Fans of Title Fight, Basement, Thrice and Manchester Orchestra should definitely check this out. Citizen have always eluded definition. The Toledo, Ohio-based four-piece have been making dynamic, wide-ranging guitar music for over ten years, challenging expectations with each new album and refusing to fit neatly in a box. On their fourth full-length, Life In Your Glass World, Citizen have crafted their most singular work to date completely on their own terms—proving that only the band themselves can define their identity. This definition meant taking the entire process home to Toledo, Ohio – the Glass City – and creating everything in house. Recorded in vocalist Mat Kerekes’ home studio in his garage, Citizen’s need to continue moving forward creatively went hand in hand with their desire to be fully in control of their creative destiny. The new process afforded the band time to focus on each song’s individual mood, making their sig-nature blend of aggression and melody all the more pronounced, and even capturing appealing imperfections. The result is an album that represents the members’ vision in its purest form, something that feels distinctly Citizen while also marking the start of a fresh chapter. One of the most immediately striking elements of the direction on Life In Your Glass World is the band’s attention to rhythm. Many of the songs feature undeniably danceable beats and sharp, groove-laden guitar lines, which give both the barnburners and the brooding atmospheric tracks a pulsating heart. The band’s desire to assert themselves is palpable both in the music and Kerekes’ lyrics, mirroring not only their creative frustrations but also a long year of personal upheavals. It’s fitting for Life In Your Glass World, a record that proves Citizen’s true identity is rooted in the raw energy of constant evolution.

Nothing
The Great Dismal
The fourth full length album from the excellent shoegaze / punk crossover group NOTHING. Fans of Deftones, JAWS, Slow Crush, Teenage Wrist, RIDE or Slowdive should check this out. The Great Dismal, NOTHING’s new full-length album explores existentialist themes of isolation, extinction, and human behavior in the face of 2020’s vast wasteland. Closing in on the band’s ten-year mark, frontman Domenic Palermo finds himself stringing together songs of misanthropic tales of Philadelphia with a refined and refreshed take on NOTHING's classic sound. “The Great Dismal refers to a swamp, a brilliant natural trap where survival is custom fit to its inhabitants,” Palermo states. “The nature of its beautiful, but taxing environment and harsh conditions can’t ever really be shaken or forgotten too easily.” The ever progressive NOTHING keeps true to their chaotic outlook on life, keeping a keen eye to avoid repetition. With a radical cast of talented contributors such as harpist Mary Lattimore, classical musician Shelley Weiss, and singer/songwriter/producer Alex G., The Great Dismal showcases yet another essential side of the band’s trademark American Post-Shoegaze.
