PAAVO JARVI Brahms Grammy Award winner Paavo Jarvi has been the Artistic Director of The Deutsche Kammer-philharmonie Bremen since 2004. The former head of the Orchestre de Paris, Paavo holds further positions as Chief Conductor of the NHK Symphony Orchestra and Artistic Advisor to the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra, Parnu Festival and Jarvi Academy. Following the widespread success of the Beethoven and Schumann Cycles, Paavo Jarvi and The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen embark on the performances and recordings of the four symphonies and orchestral works of Johannes Brahms in the course of four years. The first volume includes radiant Symphony No. 2, and two overtures with great contrasting atmosphere. With the placement of divided violins and natural trumpets backed up by the latest information and research provided by Brahms scholars, The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen displays utmost authenticity, virtuosity and energy, unearthing previously hidden emotions in this great work. The band ,who dropped by to play in the shop and at New Noise last year, are one of the UK's most promising rock bands joining the likes of You Me At Six and Lower Than Atlantis 14+ show with doors 7:00 and a curfew of 9:30pm.
