Babe, Terror Knights Limited edition reverse groove etched 12" The new release on Erol Alkan's lable is Sao Paulo's Claudio Szynkier and he calls his music WDM (Wrong Dance Music). Heavy synths with more emphasis on sound design than danceable beats. 34 minutes of raw primitive drum machine beats colliding with a wild-collage of samples, hymnal vocal chants, swooning reversed guitars slathered in hiss, and slurring keyboards... Collecting and joining sounds together with no pretentions, BT plays with his voice, fx pedals and presets until he arrives at a place full of trippy forms, spectres and creatures - a decompositive micro-symphony Phantasy Sound 12"

Connan Mockasin Caramel New album from psych-oddball Connan Mockasin giving us a window into his very strange but great musical mind! Caramel' boasts a unique brand of mutated, lustrous soul that was almost wholly self-recorded over a month in a Tokyo hotel room. The new album explores different regions of Mockasin’s singular galaxy, guided by his truly adventurous songwriting that favors reconfigured pop structures with a skewed funk sensibility. 'Caramel' offers us not just soul but a liquefied brew of blues, funk, ambient and folk with pronounced Oriental and Gallic timbres, all laced with an uncanny air of bliss... 'Caramel' has hints of Scritti Politti's exquisitely stitched soul, or of Prince - if the Minneapolis legend had spent time in Canterbury, the epicentre of South East England's progressive psych / prog scene during the late 60s and early 70s, where the likes of Syd Barrett and Kevin Ayers began their own musical journeys. Daniel Avery Drone Logic Long overdue repress of the 2013 debut album from the mighty talented Fabric resident Daniel Avery. Innovative and forward thinking, Drone Logic manages to draw influences from beyond the dancefloor via My Bloody Valentine, NEU! and Chris Carter while still having the techno pulse to scale the walls of any club. The wide array of plaudits and early adopters of Avery’s music is proof of this, ranging from acid house legends like The Chemical Brothers, Andrew Weatherall and Richie Hawtin to the best of the new breed in Maya Jane Coles, James Holden and Factory Floor. Firmly established as one of the UK’s most exciting new DJ / producers having cut his teeth in Weatherall’s Shoreditch studio bunker, Drone Logic follows up Avery’s universally acclaimed mix CD for London clubbing institution Fabric where he remains a resident, recent remixes for Primal Scream, The Horrors & Django Django and last year’s Need Electric and Water Jump EPs on Alkan’s Phantasy label. This summer sees him play at Bestival, Festival No.6 and the Green Man festival. Phantasy Sound LP
Ghost Culture Ghost Culture Expected 5th January Debut album from London artist Ghost Culture who has been making waves on the scene over the last 12 months If you need reference points then how about the pulse of Kraftwerk and the funk of LFO with the songs of Depeche Mode being dropped at 4am after one of those big night's out. It's dark in places and anthemic in others with strands of showgaze and blips of Bambaataa. It's amazing. It's as perfect as electronic music can get. Phantasy Sound / Because CD | LP

Daniel Avery Knowing We'll Be Here (Kink & Beyond The Wizard's Sleeve remixes) For this latest instalment of the "Drone Logic" remix marathon, Phantasy call on the production prowess of the reliably brilliant KiNK and the vibrantly psychedelic Beyond The Wizard's Sleeve to take Avery's streamlined techno into strange new territories. First up, KiNK applies that ever-masterful touch to "Knowing We'll Be Here", recycling the chord progression from a thousand forgotten trance records, replaying them on tasteful and palatable synth sounds and giving us a wholly euphoric sonar embrace without the faintest whiff of patcouli oil to be found. Maximum emotional impact; Minimum fire poi impact. On the flip, label boss Erol Alkan sends a signal to a machine lost in Time and Space, and calls Richard Norris back to earth for some Beyond The Wizard's Sleeve action. The result is a remix of "New Energy" which melds dub effects, reversed tape, and the contents of J Spaceman's stash tin into the kind of chugging slow house jam you'd hear Wevvers drop at 4am. Late of the Pier / Soulwax Remixes EP In stock now Erol Alkan's Phantasy label returns with two killer Late Of The Pier remixes in one neat little package. The track provided by Belgian party starters Soulwax, is so intense it's like discovering Frosties after a lifetime of Corn Flakes. It's a full technicolor assault that takes the already behemoth, "Best In The Class" and maxes out its fun dials 'til way past bedtime. Vicious, razor sharp synths twist and soar around a delicious dirty stomping beat to clearly generate one of the most epic, dancefloor igniting tracks to have arrived this year. On the flip, classically trained composer producer Simon Bookish rebuilds the whimsical "Blueberry" atop a lush pulsating electro-psych groove. Electronic drones and effects are invested with a rare emotion to create a haunting yet playful slice of futuristic pop. Phantasy Sound 12" Out of Stock
