Billie Marten
Dog Eared
The prolific British singer-songwriter headed to New York in the summer of 2024 to record with producer Phil Weinrobe (Adrianne Lenker, Buck Meek, Laura Veirs) at his Sugar Mountain studio, alongside an all-star cast of musicians. The likes of Catalan singer-songwriter/guitarist Núuria Graham, bassist Josh Crumbly, virtuosic guitarist Mike Haldeman, multi-instrumentalist Shahzad Ismaily, revered indie-rock musician Sam Evian, former Dirty Projectors vocalist/folk musician Maia Friedman, Brazilian percussionist Mauro Refosco, drummer/multi-instrumentalist Vishal Nayak, and acclaimed folk musician Sam Amidon sprinkle their gold dust over “Dog Eared”. A band packed with talent and cumulative credits across records by Cassandra Jenkins, Kamasi Washington, Moses Sumney, Robert Glasper, Tune-Yards, Empress Of, Nick Hakim, David Byrne, Atoms for Peace, Feist, Bonnie “Prince” Billy, and now Billie Marten.Dog Eared is a warm, rich, and textured record that bristles with confidence and self-belief, with Billie already approaching the prolificacy of a ‘lifer’ with so much life left to live. It’s a left turn from her previous recordings, albeit a subtle one, taken with a deftness of touch. A musician embracing change, while staying true to her core self. There’s a certain strength of conviction here that finds its voice more prominently in the extensive pool of her acclaimed American contemporaries, of which she now surely stands shoulder to shoulder with. With Dog Eared, Billie calmly posits herself at the top of the tree of not just British contemporary folk artists, but with British songwriters at large.

Art School Girlfriend
Lean In
We've got a limited amount of A5 signed prints to give away with the LP.London-based, Wrexham-raised artist and producer Art School Girlfriend announces her third studio album Lean In, due March 11th via Fiction Records. She also shares new track ‘The Peaks’, and announces a 2026 run of headline dates. Armed with the freedom and space to experiment, Lean In was self-produced in her own East London studio and sees Art School Girlfriend set to move from cult bedroom artist to one of the UK’s most vital artist/producers operating at the moment, tackling alternative rock, electronic pop & experimental ambient sounds in her most cohesive work to date. Lean In arrives at a time where her audience has grown exponentially, partly due to her diverse involvement across the music scene at large – contributions to the work of Daniel Avery, Lane 8, Jasper Tygner and Ghostpoet; being chosen by Bonobo to DJ at his Outliers series at Drumsheds; touring the US with both The Japanese House and Marika Hackman; a notable DJ set for HOR; producing and engineering for up-and-coming post-rock band Pencil; the tastemaker curation of her 5-years-in-the-running monthly radio show on Foundation FM.Self-producing, writing and recording Lean In, Mackey invites the listener to quite literally lean into the world she has built around her. With every detail intentional, this new record is less of a honing of her trademark sound of emotional blend of electronic sounds and shoegaze - and more of an expansion of it. At the top of next year, she will perform these new tracks for the first time on a UK headline tour.

The Horrors
Night Life
Indies exclusive LP is on 'clear' vinyl.Nearly 20 years since they first began, there are few bands who’ve created a canon as determinedly innovative and consistently critically acclaimed as The Horrors. Emerging as zeitgeist-shaking garage-goths on their 2007 debut ‘Strange House’, before taking a shoegaze-nodding sharp left on their Mercury-nominated follow up ‘Primary Colours’, since the beginning they’ve roamed between genres and atmospheres freely. 2011’s ‘Skying’ won the NME Award for Best Album; ‘V’ was heralded as “a triumph” in a five-star Guardian review, while 2021’s pair of EPs - ‘Lout’ and ‘Against The Blade’ - marked a visceral new chapter with their most industrial, uncompromising output yet.Whilst the end results have changed, however, at their core has always been the same unbending commitment and bloody-minded allegiance to the cause. The Horrors are not and will never be a band that approach the job lightly. They’re musicians who’ll funnel everything they are into the process, at the expense of health, wealth and sometimes sanity. And so, whilst sixth album ‘Night Life’ sees the band once more shapeshift into a new form, with a new sonic outlook and - this time - a new line up, in some ways The Horrors are still as they ever were.

Kavinsky
Reborn
Kavinsky is a zombie who came back from the dead after his Testarossa crashed in 1986.
His first song, 'Testarossa Autodrive', was an instant success, and was followed by two singles. In 2007, he was chosen by Daft Punk to open their now legendary 'Alive' tour. In 2011, his track 'Nightcall', produced with Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, became the theme song for the film 'Drive', and consequently a worldwide success.
Kavinsky's first album, 'Outrun', was released in 2013, followed by a collaboration with The Weeknd on the song 'Odd Look'.
In 2022, Kavinsky is back with 'Reborn', his second album recorded at the famous Motorbass studio in Paris. The first single, 'Renegade', has an impactful sound and a powerful chorus, whilst the second single 'Zenith” has a more muted and futuristic feel.
On 'Reborn', Kavinsky amplifies these sounds without deviating from his relentless trajectory.
