DMX Krew Stellar Gateway Five tracks of beautifully honed, acid-laced electro from Ed Upton, aka DMX Krew, who continues to be an unstoppable musical force. To pick out two tracks, Opening Statement, unsurprisingly the first track on the EP is a complex beast, with pulsing layers of sounds and beautiful melody. Stellar Gateway, the title track kicks off the B Side, evoking an cosmic trip, with Ed channelling his inner Space Odyssey 200. Ultimately, this EP showcases what you already know, that Acid doesn't need to be in yer face –it can creep up quietly, but still whisk you away to the dancefloor. Byrd Out 12"
Lee Scratch Perry Game Of The Throne EP This 3 track EP from the legendary Lee Perry brings together new and unreleased tracks recorded at Mad Professor’s Ariwa Studio in South London. And on the flipside is the title track, ‘Game Of The Throne’, with brass section and backing vocals belting out soul fire, with Lee offering his words to Selassie. Mastered by the legendary Noel Summerville, artwork by Henry DubRoot Alderson and G.S-L Studio. Byrd Out 12"

Andrew Weatherall Blue Bullet EP Almost exactly a year after his first EP on Byrd Out (the Kiyadub EP), the legendary Andrew Weatherall returns with new material for a second release. Andrew invited a mate round to his studio to try out a Les Paul his friend was looking to buy. As it turns out, his mate was Ride's (and Oasis') guitarist Andy Bell. Anyway, Andrew suggested he test the guitar out over a track he was working on, and ‘Making Friends With The Invader’ is the resulting track, which Andrew paired with the EP’s title track ‘Blue Bullet’. Both tracks plough the trippy, cosmic dub furrow, and come in at a weighty 8 and 9 minutes plus. 1000 vinyl only. Grab them while you can! Mastered by Noel Summerville.
