Rapman Blue Story - OST Roc Nation, in collaboration with Polydor Records is proud to announce a compilation album of music inspired by Rapman’s heavily anticipated motion picture Blue Story. The record comprised of original music features some of the UK’s most notable heavyweights, including Giggs, Krept & Konan, Skrapz and Jorja Smith, as well as one of Jamaica’s legendary Reggae/Dancehall superstars, Buju Banton. Pieced together with a stellar line up of artists, the 12-track album is centred around key themes of the film and encapsulates true British talent as well as supporting emerging stars from UK's capital. Covering several genres, the Blue Story compilation is a cultural melting point of music, focused on showcasing Rapman’s unique vision and great aptitude for storytelling. The album stands as an audio embodiment of Rapman’s personal take on London’s gut-wrenching postcode war, exploring emotions from anger and fear to love and compassion. Scheduled for release on November 15th, Blue Story [the album] is a hard-hitting record, delivering cut throat lyricism, unwavering creativity and true South London swagger. The perfect accompaniment, this solid body of work has been cleverly curated to convey the narrative of Rapman’s highly acclaimed cinema debut. No stranger to delivering impactful screen shorts, Rapman has a natural gift for creating powerful visuals with equally strong messages. Having worked with various charities to create art surrounding issues such as domestic violence and blood cancer, 2018 saw the South-East London native capture the attention of young black London with his sensational Shiro’s Story trilogy. The piece which explored the life of a young Black man from South London created an enormous buzz when elements of betrayal, violence, sex and loyalty were thrown into the mix. Easily one of the most realistic depictions of London’s inner-city blues, Shiro’s Story garnered numerous accolades and media interest including coverage in The Guardian, The Standard & The BBC. Having attracted the attention of Hip-Hop legend JAY-Z, Rapman signed an exclusive deal with Roc Nation management and label, which set the wheels in motion for his cinema debut, Blue Story. A tragic tale of a friendship between Timmy and Marco, Blue Story focuses on the lives of two young boys from opposing postcodes. Timmy, a shy, smart, naive and timid young boy from Deptford, goes to school in Peckham where he strikes up a friendship with Marco, a charismatic, streetwise kid from the local area. Although from warring postcodes, the two quickly form a firm friendship until it is tested with both seemingly ending up on rival sides of a street war. Blue Story depicts elements of Rapman's own personal experiences and aspects of his childhood. CD Pre-Order

Coming from different worlds, but sharing a passion for the rich history of electronic music, beat-boxer/comedian/musician Watts and electronic music artist/DJ/producer Tejada bring out the best in each other’s formidable skill sets. Where the duo’s debut album “Casual High Technology” hinted at the broad stylistic possibilities inherent in the marriage of Watts’ elastic, soul-stirring vocals and Tejada’s layered, melodically inventive productions, “Don’t Let Get You Down” makes good on that promise. Quantic Atlantic Modulations Atlantic Modulations’ brings together reworkings of Will “Quantic” Holland’s critically acclaimed album "Atlantic Oscillations", featuring remixes from Sampology, Dan Shake, Alfa Mist and Quantic himself. EP opener "You Used To Love Me ft. Denitia (Selva Remix)" epitomises Holland's relocation to Brooklyn, building his new recording studio 'Selva' and taking up a bi-monthly residency at 'Good Room' (NY); with the essence of the NY club scene radiating through the Selva Remix. A key figure in London's burgeoning jazz scene, talented pianist, producer and composer Alfa Mist reworks "You Used To Love Me" with the addition of melancholic brass and keys, giving the original a contemporary jazz twist. "September Blues" is granted the heavyweight house treatment by Moodymann-stamped-seal-of-approval, Dan Shake. Adding his well-loved mesh of sparky acid synths, Brazilian samba percussion and itchy groove-funk to the song, fuelling "September Blues" into a peak-time contagious weapon. Brisbane-based producer, DJ, and Worldwide FM resident, Sampology gives "Orquidea" featuring Grammy-nominated multi-instrumentalist Sly5thAve, a delicate touch of tropical-disco and dub-variants, slowing down the brass horns and distorting the bedrock of the track. ‘Atlantic Oscillations’ marked the return of world-renowned British producer Quantic with his most cohesive and intricate album to date; "Atlantic Modulations" cements that release, contextualising it on the dancefloor.
