Disclosure Thursday 24th September at New Slang Back in 2011 a relatively unknown local brother duo called Disclosure supported Metronomy at New Slang...Now one of the biggest acts in electronic music, their debut sounds like a greatest hits. They make a return to New Slang for a very rare DJ set to celebrate the release of their highly anticipated second album Caracal. They now lead the way in modern house music and have collaborated with numerous artists like Sam Smith, AlunaGeorge, The Weeknd and Miguel. We expect this to be as busy as the Jamie xx event this summer. Kingston techno master Little Jonny will be supporting. You might have seen him supporting Jamie xx or Julio Bashmore! Disclosure take to the DJ booth at 1AM, with the club closing at 3AM for this event. New Slang DJs will be in Room 2 if you like your music with a bit more guitars in, where you'd expect to hear Foals, Chvrches, Spector and Fidlar. Please Note: The Hippodrome is an 18+ venue. Valid PHOTO ID will be required new slang ticket Past Event

Waxahatchee Cerulean Salt Former P.S. Eliot singer Katie Crutchfield returns with a 2nd album written and recorded at her house in Birmingham US featuring Keith Spencer and Kyle Gilbride of Swearin. It is a collection of minimal acoustic-guitar pop songs that are heart wrenching and honest. She has a way of making dysfunctional relationships sound like something to strive for, as in this line from "Swan Dive": "And we will find a way to be / lonely any chance we get / And I'll keep having dreams about / loveless marriage and regret."
