Tickets are not transferable. The name of the lead booker will be on all tickets. Where more than one ticket has been purchased, all guests in the party must enter the venue together. To celebrate the release of their seventh full length album, Kaiser Chiefs make a welcoming return to New Slang. They were last here in 2016 to play two sold-out shows at The Hippodrome but now they're back with their seventh full length album, titled Duck. Duck was recorded and mixed with producer Ben H. Allen, who previously collaborated with the band on 2014’s number one album Education, Education, Education & War. Other production collaborators include Iain Archer (Liam Gallagher, James Bay) with additional mixing by Mark “Spike” Stent (U2, Ed Sheeran, Arcade Fire) who worked with Kaiser Chiefs on defining single Everyday I Love You Less and Less. Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes
Thursday 2nd May at New Slang, 9:00pm
Update 30th Apr - Tickets ordered from this point for collection at Pryzm on the night of the show. Please bring your order number with you.
Just before the release of their third full length album, Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes return to New Slang.
The hugely anticipated third full length album from the incredible Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes is titled End Of Suffering. He's been an all-time Banquet favourite with his ferocious and on-point punk-rock, one of the most important voices of the generation. We're really excited to hear what him and the gang have cooked up for this album, we already know it'll be special. His live shows are unmatched, don't miss out.
End Of Suffering - named after the Buddhist term for enlightenment- is the sound of a band entering an entirely new realm of the senses, a forty minute rock'n'rollercoaster of molten-hot bangers, scorched-soul ballads and grunge lullabies laced through with a lacerating lyrical honesty.
“I was in the middle of going through a divorce, and I was coming to terms with the way my relationships were going to change, in terms of co-parenting, so it wasn't easy to write a lot of these songs," says Frank with typical candour. "Everyone says you've got to ride the wave, well that's easy if you've got a surfboard. I can't even fuckin' swim."

Please bring photo ID with you on the night, whatever age you are. Celebrating the release of their new album, FOALS return to New Slang, only this time to play their new album Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost - Part 1 in it's entirety. The band play an absolutely thrilling and genre-bending fusion of indie-rock-dance-punk and put on an incredible live show that's not to be missed. We're super happy to see them return to Kingston in this exciting time. Fundamentally tethered but possessing their own personalities, the two bodies capture the most compelling, ambitious and cohesive creations they’ve ever produced. Eager to break the traditional pop song structure which they felt they were becoming increasingly tapered to, the 20 tracks defy expectation. There are exploratory, progressive-tinged tracks alongside atmospheric segues which make the music an experience rather than a mere collection of songs. Yet the band’s renowned ability to wield relentless grooves with striking power and skyscraper hooks also reaches new heights. 9:30PM - DOORS 10:30PM - FOALS After the show, it's New Slang as usual where you can expect to hear songs from the likes of The Vaccines, The Cribs, Wolf Alice, Circa Waves, Catfish And The Bottlemen, Everything Everything, The Maccabees, Sundara Karma and many more until 2AM.
