Thursday 20th September at The Fighting Cocks (18+ SHOW)
All tickets for this show are for venue collection - you'll just need to give your name and order number on the door.
The night before their hugely anticipated self-titled debut album is released, Black Honey play at The Fighting Cocks. After a string of great singles and building up a wave of excitement with their undeniably infectious mix of indie-rock that's laced with grooves and attitude, we couldn't be more happy to have them finally visit Kingston for an all ages set in the shop and this 18+ show at The Fighting Cocks.
"Bursting out of the ether in 2014 with their squalling guitars, vivid colours and cinematic vignettes, there’s no other British band out there quite like Black Honey. Having spent the last four years perfecting the indie game, everything you think you know about them and their unique surrealist world is about to be wonderfully shaken up as they prepare to release their hugely anticipated debut album. With contradiction at every turn, it’s an album that celebrates being human, in all its different forms and by doing so, will touch the hearts of everyone that hears it."
Support for this show will come from Young Romance!

Mystery Jets are coming back to town! The band are real New Slang faves and they're no strangers to New Slang, Banquet or Kingston, having played a couple of instores, this being their third New Slang gig. The local band have a rich history in Kingston. Despite Kai Fish playing a New Slang show recently, it'll be nearly a year a since the full band has been in town. We're delighted to have them back. This is an album release show to promote new album Radlands. What we've heard to date hints this is evert bit as good as we'd hoped for. We've a stupid good deal on this one. You can get yourself a ticket for the show and a copy of the new CD 'Radlands' for only £8..... £8! Mystery Jets have some big shows this summer, including a Brixton Academy show as part of their UK tour, headlining Truck Festival, the Great Escape festival. and more. But we're very happy they've come back to New Slang for an album release show. Support them back by picking up the album and ticket combo. Support from Kingston indie-pop duo Young Romance We are expecting this one to sell out in advance After the bands we love to play indie/alt hits spanning a range of Maccabees to King Charles, M83 to Pulled Apart By Horses, until 2am!
