Wild EP
Follow-up to the excellent and acclaimed 7" Pale, from Kingston indie duo and Banquet label alumni Young Romance. Last year they toured with The Heartbreaks and played Dot To Dot; in the Spring of this year they toured Europe, and last month they played the BBC Introducing stage at The Great Escape festival and headlined their first London show! During the Autumn the band recorded their four track 'Wild' EP produced by Simon “Barney” Barnicott who has previously worked with the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Peace, Suede and Bombay Bicycle Club. The first single to be taken from the EP received praise from the likes of Huw Stephens (BBC Radio 1), John Kennedy (XFM) and BBC Introducing. The band then joined Satellite Stories on their European tour with shows in Germany, Holland, Switzerland and Austria in March 2015. May saw Young Romance perform at the BBC Introducing stage at The Great Escape Festival, before playing their first sold out London headline show at The Waiting Room in London. NME - "Mary Chain guitars collide beneath Claire's vocals recalling Kate Bush in her heyday. This is a band that don't just have the sound, they have the songs to match too." LINE OF BEST FIT - "If you enjoyed 'Ride Your Heart' by Bleached last year, this will be your new jam, and its our Song Of The Day." CLASH - "Rarely has heartbreak sounded so sweet…" XFM - John Kennedy's 'X-Posure Big One'
