Turnover Good Nature Exclusive indies LP is on brown in green mixed coloured vinyl. The hugely anticipated follow up album to Turnover's incredible 2015 album Peripheral Vision. Stunning, floaty dream-pop and shoegazey vibes with wonderful harmonies and beautiful guitars. "This whole record is about learning," says frontman Austin Getz. "Opening your eyes to new things, going outside of your comfort zone, and learning to grow into something new." “The album’s unique blend of musical and spiritual growth is immediately audible on the opening track, Super Natural, a late-summer idyll of intertwined guitar parts and laidback vocals. Listening to how the leisurely ‘Nightlight Girl’ melts into a more propulsive selection like ‘Breeze’, and the way Good Nature flows together as a seamless whole, it’s also evident that the foursome has been paying closer attention to how artists from earlier eras made full-length albums: the range of textures, tempos, and dynamics on Good Nature are influenced in part by bossa-nova, cool jazz, electronic music, and psychedelic grooves. This influx of new influences and inspiration, navigated by Peripheral Vision producer Will Yip, results in the band’s best album to date. Good Nature comes from a place of calm and contentment, nurtured by looking inward. Run For Cover CD | LP
Turnover Humblest Pleasures 7" with two brand new emotional songs from Virginia's Turnover! Fans of Balance & Composure and Foxing check this out! Humblest Pleasures, expands upon the sound that Turnover so masterfully executed on Peripheral Vision while at the same time diving into new territory. The title track’s upbeat yet delicate rhythm allows vocalist/guitarist Austin Getz’s vocals to shine, including a falsetto melody that promises to linger in your head long after the song ends. The bside track “Change Irreversible” slows down to recall the finest moments of The Cure’s chorus-heavy guitar leads, as the somber refrain, “there’s nothing that will help what trouble I’ve been thinking of”. Turnover Peripheral Vision The new pressing is on 'magenta' coloured vinyl and should be with us in time for Christmas. Second album from Virginia's Turnover. Ace emo / dream-pop influenced stuff for fans of Title Fight, Balance & Composure and Superheaven! Working again with Magnolia producer Will Yip (Title Fight, Circa Survive), Turnover’s latest record shows a band maturing to create their best effort: an ethereal, reverb-drenched soundscape blending elements of hazy dream pop and the delicate emo rock of yesteryear. Songs like “Hello Euphoria” and “Like Slow Disappearing” highlight the new calmer, more subdued approach to songwriting, matched by Austin Getz’s somber, confessional lyrics that echo throughout songs as if his words were haunting every measure. Peripheral Vision solidifies the idea that Turnover is a band with its finger on the pulse of its generation: growing and learning with every release, but never failing to provide a relatable, cathartic experience for anyone listening. Turnover Blue Dream Virginia's Turnover, who played in the shop and The Fighting Cocks in May, release a new 3-track EP! Super emo post-hardcore driven punkrock! Blue Dream features the first tracks written alongside new guitarist Eric Soucy (formerly of Maker). Originally intended as an acoustic EP, Yip convinced Turnover to record the songs as a full band ... and the results are nothing short of amazing. Opener "Disintegration" somehow transmits as both expansive and bombastic, yet it maintains an incredibly introspective and intimate tone throughout, while "Bella Donna" is a bittersweet ode to a destructive, doomed relationship. It's impossible not to feel the emotional scarring from these songs, but you'll nevertheless yearn to listen to them repeatedly. Dog Knights Productions 7" Out of Stock
