The Spitfires Live EP A double 7" live EP from The Spitfires. They certainly recall the halcyon days of the late 70’s and early 80’s ska and mod sound, with vocalist Billy Sullivan sounding uncannily like Paul Weller, in Weller’s Jam days. To be fair you’d have to have no pulse to not want to get up and bounce around to ‘Stand Down’, with its driving keys and crashing guitar chords. The instrumental ‘Year Zero’ is another foot stomper, whilst ‘On My Hand’ adds in horns to the frantic guitar and rhythmic piano riff. The vocals are raw and passionate, whilst the drums threaten to break out of your speakers – the band’s live sound is perfectly captured on this song and the other four on this EP. HATCH 7"

The Spitfires Year Zero The third full length album from The Spitfires, combining reggae, ska, punk and soul to create absolute bangers. “The New Age for me, captures the band’s live sound. 3 and a half minutes of loud guitars and energy with a sort of ‘back to basics’ approach. The music video was shot one day within the album recording sessions at the studio in Chelmsford”. - Billy Sullivan HATCH CD | LP

The Spitfires Over and Over Again A new 7" single from the mod-inspired rockers The Spitfires, sounding like a great concoction of The Clash, Ordinary Boys, The Jam and Palma Violets, but this time with nods to 2-tone sounds and instrumentation. “The lyrics are about being on a night out in some shitty club and the more you drink the more miserable you become. That thing of watching your mates have a good time when all you can think about is how bored you are with your own situation. Whether it be your job, where you live or your relationship. And how you can predict in 6 months down the line you'll be back in the same club, same time, feeling the same thing.” Hatch 7"
The Spitfires Move On Returning with another big tune and this one is full of dubby ska-punk vibes, The Spitfires bring the 7" single for Move On that contains the track and exclusive b-side Stick To Your Guns. Frontman and leader Billy Sullivan says “It shows a change in direction musically and lyrically. It’s a pop song, taking influences from Reggae and Dub but bringing it into 2017. I don’t think we could or would have set out to recreate that music. We just interpret the space and rhythm into our own sound. Do our own version if you like. I also think it’s a positive statement, move on from tired old views and show that we as people are better than that”. Catch 22 7" Out of Stock
