The Smith Street Band is a special band, with a unique sound embracing the spirit of The Menzingers, Front Bottoms, Against Me! and The Weakerthans. we are the UK label for the new @thesmithstreetband 7". two non-album tracks, from a wonderful band. the records are in and shipping now, but we're only posting to UK addresses A photo posted by Banquet Records (@banquetrecords) on Aug 25, 2015 at 6:06am PDT Banquet Records 7"
The Smith Street Band Don't Fuck With Our Dreams Current stock is blue vinyl with the red screen-printed coverEP from the ace aussie folk-punks The Smith Street Band who've played in town with Restorations and Great Cynics. These guys remind us loads of The Weakerthans and The Front Bottoms! The four-piece toured relentlessly - racking up more than enough stories to fuel a thousand albums - before hibernating at Melbourne’s Sing Sing Studios with Matt Voigt (The Nation Blue, Paul Kelly, The Dirty Three) for the recording of this heavily anticipated follow-up. In a way 'Don't F_ck With Our Dreams' is a snapshot; a volume that explores a period of time between one album and the next. 10" | CD | LP
The Smith Street Band Sunshine And Technology Second album from the aussie folk-punks who remind us of The Front Bottoms and Weakerthans - great stuff! A great record for fans of previous releases from these lads and anything with a bit of passion in it. Spanning genres from pop to punk to straight up Aussie rock with a touch of that touring troubadour folk sound, Sunshine & Technology is one for the ages. CD | LP
The Smith Street Band No One Gets Lost Anymore Ace Weakerthans / The Front Bottoms style punk from Australia's Smith Street Band! This young band has divebombed into the Aussie punk scene, earning themselves well-deserved pats on the back. No One Gets Lost Anymore is an exciting album from start to finish, and has meaning that transcends the bounds of their home and unabashedly favorite city, Melbourne. This a very strong first release with songs that will make you smile--whether it is singing them at the top of your lungs at a party or quietly on your own. CD | LP
