Live at Blackpool Tower [RSD21]
This is an exclusive release for Record Store Day 2021 - Drop 1. Available from Saturday 12th June over the counter (if we're open), with online sales from 6:00pm on the same day. Click notify me above to be kept up to date. "The audio for this release has been taken from The Lathums’ one off livestreamed gig at Blackpool Tower’s Circus Room, which amassed 4,000 unique viewers back in October 2020. With the UK lockdown hitting right at the start of the band’s rise last year, for many this exclusive white vinyl RSD release will be the first glimpse of their electric live performance. Passage from Blackpool Tower PR: The Lathums return to live performance for the first time since their sold-out February tour to play the historic Blackpool Tower, with the show streaming in FREE HD audio and video on Wed 28 October at 8pm. The four-piece’s life-affirming, beg-for-a-ticket pre-Covid live shows recruited a fervent and growing, all-ages, UK-wide fanbase, supporters who helped the band swerve the wreckage of 2020 to stay firmly on the rise. The special, one-off show by the sea goes out as a ‘thank you’ from The Lathums to those stood by their side. Glancing back over a year that saw the band use time locked out of live venues to lock-in to intense writing and recording sessions, Live From Blackpool Tower, will see the band freed to play longstanding favourites alongside recent releases, including punchy single, I See Your Ghost, and other tracks from the forthcoming Ghosts EP (released Fri 30 October, Island Records). Filmed in the Tower’s ornate Circus Room under Covid-Safe conditions prior to Lancashire’s Tier 3 status being confirmed, The Lathums took the rare opportunity to let loose and get loud."

The Lathums
All My Life
They’re the phenomenal Wigan four-piece that sings about the French Resistance, digital culture and the materialistic age, while routinely sending sold-out audiences into full-voiced rapture. With the world at their feet and fans in all corners of the UK pushing them ever onwards, The Lathums announce their debut single on Island Records, releasing All My Life on Fri 3 July 2020.
Deep-thinking, articulate and blessed with irrepressible positivity, The Lathums’ bright melodies, taught verses and jubilant, beg-for-a-ticket live shows have become British guitar music’s worst kept secret, setting fans of emotive and inclusive songwriting rushing in their direction. Delivering pure joy and tall tales, the four talented friends from the overlooked fringes of Greater Manchester enjoyed a heady year on the road and netted streaming figures in their millions before signing to Island in March. It’s a journey immortalised in their short film; The Memories We Make.

To celebrate the release of their debut album titled How Beautiful Life Can Be, The Lathums visit Kingston to play at Pryzm.
How Beautiful Life Can Be, recorded at Parr Street Studios, Liverpool. In the company of producers, James Skelly and Chris Taylor, pushes The Lathums’ remarkable story into the next, even more exciting phase. The Great Escape, having been previously self-released by the young band, emerges from the album sessions in sparkling, new form, whilst retaining the melodic stardust that caused the first rumblings of the social-media led stampede to their early gigs.
Kick-started by growing pains and life’s unlucky twists, fuelled by the simple salvation of six guitar strings and supercharged by the fans that found them slogging their gear into the north of England’s pubs and small venues, The Lathums story may turn out to be the perfect not-all-nice-guys-finish-last tale.

Admission will be via e-ticket. Your e-ticket will be delivered to your email address in time for the show (typically the day before the event. To celebrate the release of the new album Matter Does Not Define, The Lathums visit Kingston to play at Pryzm.Defiance, vulnerability, pride and the excuse to let loose are all promised by The Lathums. Under no influence yet emerging into long shadows cast by comparisons to The Smiths and Arctic Monkeys, The Lathums brought light with debut album, How Beautiful Life Can Be in 2021 and shone brighter still on follow-up, From Nothing To A Little Bit More in 2023. The arrival of ‘Matter Does Not Define’, sees the opening credits roll on the four-piece’s third, thrilling season.‘Matter Does Not Define’ was written by the band, comprised of Moore, Scott Concepcion (guitars, piano and vocals) Ryan Durrans (drums) and Matty Murphy (bass and vocals), in their native Wigan before recording at Kempston Street Studios, Liverpool in the company of long-term creative guide, John Kettle and producer, Chris Taylor. Proving prolific with a 12-song track listing, ‘Matter Does Not Define’ not only follows the band’s chart-topping second album, but their classic indie debut, 2021’s ‘How Beautiful Life Can Be’. Honesty, hope and heartbreak feature in the poetry-laced music of The Lathums. Everything sung from the heart, four young men from an overlooked town in England’s north gathered as teenagers without ego or expectation and set about changing the lives of the people that gathered round them. From the earliest strains of ‘Fight On’ to the closing chord of ‘How Beautiful Life Can Be’, the words of shy indie icon, Alex Moore, coupled with the chiming riffs of guitarist, Scott Concepcion and restrained rhythmic back bone of drummer, Ryan Durrans and bassist, Matty Murphy, have sought to bring fervor to Saturday nights as much as soothe Sunday mornings. The Lathums have proved themselves to be a band for all times and all people.-7:00pm - Doors7:30pm - Laurie Wright8:30pm - The LathumsSupport for this show will come from Laurie Wright.-Those aged 14+ can attend unaccompanied. 8 to 13 year olds must be accompanied by a ticket-holding adult (18+).
