The Big Moon Cupid Limited 7" single from exicting new London four-piece The Big Moon. Punchy indie-pop! Cupid” is their most assured, grown-up release to date but loses none of the band’s joyfulness. It once again saunters its way to a typically infectious, sing-along chorus delivered with effortless swagger and cool from lead singer Juliette. “I’ve been waiting for a girl like you/I’m not ready for the change”, she snarls with a gently underlying menace Fiction 7"
The Big Moon Thursday 6th April at Banquet Records, 6:00pm The London quartet The Big Moon make their first visit to the shop the day before their debut album is released. The band have been on tour with The Vaccines and The Maccabees, they play punchy indie-pop that is full of weird and wonderful joyfulness. Recommended for fans of Real Estate, Future Islands, Cherry Glazerr and Black Honey. We recorded the album with Catherine Marks (Wolf Alice, Foals). She’s an amazing producer, and such a boss. We only had twelve days in the studio, so it was all quite quick, but that’s good because it’s sort of like, wham-bam, make decisions. And quite often your first instinct is the best one, isn’t it? There’s not enough time to overthink things. In-store grade B. Priority will be given to anyone who orders a copy of Love In The 4th Dimension from us. Past Event
