Similarly to their contemporaries Peace, these guys have some of that unique Birmingham sound that they channel with the spirit of bands like The Charlatans and Stone Roses and an 80's twist creating a really great dreamy indie-rock! We had them play on New Slang's 7th Birthday and we're excited to have them back again! Marking the 7th anniversary of bringing our favourite bands to our indie club night. It's come a long way and weaved a strange journey over its life and we still love being involved. Come down and celebrate with us, with a great live band, two rooms of music, cake (cake fights) and various birthday antics! We're super excited to have Swim Deep making their New Slang debut on this very special day. The Birmingham four-piece recently released a great debut in Where The Heaven Are We and had a triumphant headline show at Shepherds Bush. Gorgeous, dreamy indie-rock for fans of Peace, The Charlatans, Two Door Cinema Club and Yuck Also playing is Southampton's Black Keys/White Stripes-esque bluesy-garage 2 piece Dolomite Minor and London's Lyger. Stage times and rooms TBC! After the bands we'll party hard to the sounds of Bastille, Chloe Howl, Mystery Jets and AlunaGeorge and the taste of cake and the smell of candles.
