The adored In Mind remixes 12" from Slowdive gets its long-awaited reissue treatment. The shoegazing giants Slowdive had their track In Mind remixed by Bandulu and Reload. Bandulu take the minor chords and stretch them into a dub-inflected whirlwind. The standout is the Reload mix by Tom Middleton & Mark Pritchard (aka Global Communication). The result is a shimmering, blissful track with downtempo rhythm and futuristic soul. The ambient, experimental techno remixes are cut on 45 rpm, but there are several DJs who preferred to play this at 33 1/3 rpm. This is a limited edition of 4000 individually numbered copies, pressed on translucent blue & red swirled vinyl. The package contains an insert with Music On Vinyl’s Slowdive catalogue. A long-awaited vinyl reissue of one of the classic EPs from the legendary shoegazers Slowdive, featuring the mesmerising Catch The Breeze which landed on their debut full length, the adored Syd Barrett cover Golden Hair, the dreamy Shine and the hauntingly dark and atmospheric Albatross. This will be the EPs first pressing since 1991. The English shoegaze band Slowdive formed in 1989 and primarily consisted of Nick Chaplin (bass), Rachel Goswell (vocals, guitar), Christian Savill (guitar), Simon Scott (drums) and the band’s primary songwriter Neil Halstead (vocals, guitar). Holding Our Breath is undoubtably Slowdive’s best EP, featuring some of their best pre-Souvlaki recordings including “Catch The Breeze”, “Shine” and their cover of Syd Barrett’s “Golden Hair”. The finale is “Albatross”. This uses atmospherics in a dark and haunting way, which contrasts the rest of the EP which is dreamy and floaty. Slowdive Pygmalion Reissue of the third studio album from iconic shoegazers Slowdive, originally released in 1995 Pygmalion would be the band's last album before going on a lengthy hiatus and didn't make another until 2017's Slowdive. Pygmalion takes on a far more experimental, ambient and post-rock style in comparison to the rest of Slowdive's work, but is no less important to their spellbinding discography.When Slowdive disbanded in 1995 music fans widely associated it with the demise of the shoegaze genre. Their last sign of life was Pygmalion (before they reunited in 2014) and it was, after Just For A Day and Souvlaki a totally different and more abstract album. Where the band attempted to put more song structures in place on Souvlaki, they began to incorporate more elements of ambient electronica on Pygmalion. Tracks like “Blue Skied An’ Clear” and “Crazy For You” demonstrate that the songs are still there, somewhere -- they’re just buried under more abstract sounds than before. Music On Vinyl LP

Slowdive Just For A Day The English shoegaze band Slowdive formed in 1989 and consisted of Nick Chaplin (bass), Rachel Goswell (vocals, guitar), Christian Savill (guitar) and the band’s primary songwriter Neil Halstead (vocals, guitar). The production on Slowdive’s debut commenced shortly after Halstead convinced Alan McGee, head of Creation Records, the band had enough songs written for a full-length album. Slowdive actually did not. The group hurriedly began writing songs in the studio, experimenting with sounds and cannabis during the process. This eventually lead to their debut album Just for a Day, released in 1991. Music On Vinyl LP
