Indies exclusive LP is on 'baby blue' coloured vinyl and packaged in alternative artwork.
The new full length album from the critically acclaimed North Shields singer-songwriter Sam Fender.
It is released on the 8th October, almost two years since the release of Sam’s critically acclaimed debut album Hypersonic Missiles debuted at number 1 in the UK album chart. Seventeen Going Under finds Sam turning the mirror on himself; his adolescence and the trials and tribulations of growing up. It’s a relatable journey that careers through an often misspent youth, navigating tumultuous relationships with both friends and family, and trying to figure out what comes next and how to get there. North Shields is the ever-present backdrop for these deeply personal vignettes of a young life travelling breathlessly from nought to sixty, hauling on the breaks and zipping back again from where he started. Over the course of the record, these stunning songs chronicle all the cherished memories, tricky encounters, and events that Sam cannot unsee.
It’s the story of a young teen losing not only his innocence, but then finding strength to stagger blindly into adulthood and all that entails.

Tuesday 10th September at Pryzm, 6:00pm (Extra show)
Due to phenomenal demand, we've added an extra show to take place earlier the same evening.
To celebrate the release of his hugely anticipated debut full length album titled Hypersonic Missiles, Sam Fender visits Kingston to play at Pryzm.
There’s a loose thread that has run through all of Sam’s songs to date and that’s in the focus of his lyrics. Observational, questioning and socially engaged, Sam has an innate gift for simplifying matters of the newsworthy and topical. “I don’t have answers only questions” he clarifies on the eyebrow-raising multi-vocal layered new track White Privilege, but there’s a canny simplicity here that seems to be touching and speaking plainly to people in their hundreds of thousands. Those words reflect conversations occurring right across the globe, amongst friends in cafes, pubs, and out on the terraces. Frustrations. Misunderstandings. Despair.
To combat touts, customers will be required to give their name when purchasing tickets and will be required to produce photo ID matching that name for entry to the gig. Tickets are not transferable.
The name of the lead booker will be on all tickets. Where more than one ticket has been purchased, all guests in the party must enter the venue together. To gain entry to the show, the lead booker must bring the tickets along with valid photo ID matching the name on the tickets.
Pryzm is all ages for this show - under 14s must be accompanied by a ticket-holding adult (18+). Over 18s should bring PHOTO ID (driving license / passport).
Times TBC, but we expect doors at 6pm, Sam Fender on stage at 7pm and a curfew of 8pm.
CD/ticket is £17 post-paid, and other formats and combos will be available.
