Quantic Atlantic Modulations Atlantic Modulations’ brings together reworkings of Will “Quantic” Holland’s critically acclaimed album "Atlantic Oscillations", featuring remixes from Sampology, Dan Shake, Alfa Mist and Quantic himself. EP opener "You Used To Love Me ft. Denitia (Selva Remix)" epitomises Holland's relocation to Brooklyn, building his new recording studio 'Selva' and taking up a bi-monthly residency at 'Good Room' (NY); with the essence of the NY club scene radiating through the Selva Remix. A key figure in London's burgeoning jazz scene, talented pianist, producer and composer Alfa Mist reworks "You Used To Love Me" with the addition of melancholic brass and keys, giving the original a contemporary jazz twist. "September Blues" is granted the heavyweight house treatment by Moodymann-stamped-seal-of-approval, Dan Shake. Adding his well-loved mesh of sparky acid synths, Brazilian samba percussion and itchy groove-funk to the song, fuelling "September Blues" into a peak-time contagious weapon. Brisbane-based producer, DJ, and Worldwide FM resident, Sampology gives "Orquidea" featuring Grammy-nominated multi-instrumentalist Sly5thAve, a delicate touch of tropical-disco and dub-variants, slowing down the brass horns and distorting the bedrock of the track. ‘Atlantic Oscillations’ marked the return of world-renowned British producer Quantic with his most cohesive and intricate album to date; "Atlantic Modulations" cements that release, contextualising it on the dancefloor. Quantic Atlantic Oscillations 'Atlantic Oscillations' marks the return of world-renowned British producer Quantic with his most cohesive and intricate album to date. Bringing together new players and concepts with a dance orientated sound that has enchanted fans and tastemakers across the world for nearly two decades, it showcases Will “Quantic” Holland’s artistry and rare ability to intertwine the electronic with the orchestral. The LP is the first Quantic album under his main solo moniker since 2014’s critically acclaimed ‘Magnetica’, and in the interim the prolific artist has raised the stakes with further highly praised side projects including The Western Transient, Flowering Inferno, Quantic & Nidia Góngora and Quantic y Los Míticos del Ritmo. He has also relocated to Brooklyn, built his new recording studio ‘Selva’ and taken a bi-monthly residency at New York club space ‘Good Room’, where much of this release was tried and tested. These recordings, journeys and projects have all played a role in the creation of ‘Atlantic Oscillations’; “This record feels like it grew naturally as I grew to know New York”, Holland muses “I had started the record with electronic sketches in Ableton but soon found that with my new studio setup I was able to record everything with live musicians”. Quantic Atlantic Oscillations “Atlantic Oscillations” marks the return of world-renowned British producer Quantic ahead of the release of his most cohesive and intricate album to date. Bringing together new players and concepts with a dance orientated sound that has enchanted fans and tastemakers across the world for nearly two decades. As the first Quantic release under his main solo moniker since 2014’s critically acclaimed ‘Magnetica’, “Atlantic Oscillations” embodies a disco vibrancy taken directly from sweaty dance nights in Brooklyn’s small disco and dance clubs. “I’ve had the chance to see some great DJs and got into the disco edit and some incredible dance songs. NYC summers are great for outdoor parties and I wanted to make something which was long and had a real journey for these kind of parties”, Holland explains “it was primarily my wish to make a bad disco tune”. The finished product is a track shimmering with the warmth of a New York City summer and the energy of a party equipped with a well-stocked free bar. Tru Thoughts 12"

Quantic Y Los Miticos Del Ritmo Hotline Bling / Doombia Heading up the A-Side, the catchy pop lines in Drake’s “Hotline Bling” lend themselves perfectly to the cumbia percussion and rhythms of Quantic’s phenomenal instrumental cover, to create something magnetic and unforgettable. Elevating the traditional use of instruments like the accordion, alegre and guacharaca, Holland hits with a Mexican Rebajada (slowed down or screwed) beat, tuning his accordion by hand, in the tuning style of Calixto Ochoa. “Hotline Bling” was first played by Holland in his DJ set for Boiler Room in Los Angeles last year, he elaborates: “The show was in a historic discoteca in LA, a city with a big appreciation for Colombian diasporic music and the influences of Mexican sonideros.” Cut to dub specially for the performance, the track won a remarkable reaction from the eager dancefloor and initiated a flurry of worldwide interest online. The B-Side brings an unheard accordion cut in the form of “Doombia” - a manifestation of modern instrumentation and frenetic beats. “The B- Side is an original, bringing accordion from the Colombian Atlantic closer to the digital footwork/house dance of Chicago. The flute plays an Andean melody with 808 snare keeping the double time rhythm” Holland explains. Tru Thoughts 7"
