Joy Division Martin Hannett's Personal Mixes Discovered by friends of Martin Hannett and with input from one of his relatives, these recordings give a rare insight into his production ideas for Joy Division and his relationship with the band.,the strange things/ sound effects they recorded in the studio together etc etc. The studio chit chat and interplay between Hannett, Gretton and Joy Division members is all here as Martin left his own tape machine running throughout studio sessions. On this album we have rare alternative mixes of Joy Division that were Martin's personal favourites and he had the forethought to get the band members to give him control of these recordings. A must for all Joy Division fans. Ozit Vinyl LP
Joy Division Warsaw LP on 180g 'grey' coloured vinyl. Joy Division, originally named Warsaw, consisted of singer Ian Curtis, guitarist and keyboardist Bernard Sumner, bass player Peter Hook, and drummer Stephen Morris. Warsaw was the planned debut album by the English post-punk band. Recorded in May 1978, it comprised eleven tracks now known collectively as the RCA Sessions. The band was disappointed with the label's post-production work and the deal fell through, the album being scrapped. This Warsaw release presents the RCA Sessions (some of which would be released on their debut EP, An Ideal For Living); As You Said from the 1980 Komakino single; and the band's first recorded music, five Warsaw Demo tracks from 1977. An interesting historical and musical testimony to Joy Divison's early artistic qualities. Dol LP
