Joy Division Closer (40th Anniversary) Joy Division recorded only two albums before singer Ian Curtis passed away. But what the Manchester quartet lacked in longevity, they more than made up for in quality. The two albums were pioneering and helped shape the sound and mood of the alternative music that followed in the band's wake. Joy Division will be re-releasing a 40th anniversary edition of sophomore album 'Closer,' on 17th July 2020. The release follows last year's reissue of the ground-breaking debut album 'Unknown Pleasures,' and will be pressed on crystal clear vinyl. Warner Music LP

Joy Division Martin Hannett's Personal Mixes Discovered by friends of Martin Hannett and with input from one of his relatives, these recordings give a rare insight into his production ideas for Joy Division and his relationship with the band.,the strange things/ sound effects they recorded in the studio together etc etc. The studio chit chat and interplay between Hannett, Gretton and Joy Division members is all here as Martin left his own tape machine running throughout studio sessions. On this album we have rare alternative mixes of Joy Division that were Martin's personal favourites and he had the forethought to get the band members to give him control of these recordings. A must for all Joy Division fans. Ozit Vinyl LP
