IDLES Five Years of Brutalism Brutalism was originally self-released in March 2017, surpassing expectations to become one of the decade’s most important debut albums. Beneath the surface of its aggressive, foreboding music and lyrics lies a level of confessional vulnerability and honesty that comfortably cemented it as an instant classic. In the 5 years since Brutalim’s release, IDLES have gone on to achieve so much, including a number one album, sold out tours and festival headline appearances around the world. Its follow-up, Joy As an Act of Resistance, further springboarded the band into the UK (and beyond)'s consciousness and paved the way for the colossal ‘Ultra Mono’ - the band’s first UK No. 1 album. Last year’s CRAWLER contained the buzz-saw urgency that their now global fanbase had come to expect, but expanded its sound with more melodic and introspective songs. At every step of the way the band have garnered a wealth of dedicated supporters - from the early breaks given to them by Steve Lamacq and BBC 6 Music, the independent live music circuit and the incredible AF Gang community. To celebrate, the band are releasing a limited edition reissue of the debut studio album: Five Years of Brutalism. This reissue features alternative artwork designed by Joe Talbot, and is pressed on cherry red vinyl.Five Years of Brutalism is out on 9th December 2022 on Partisan Records. Partisan Records LP
IDLES CRAWLER Black LP expected 21st January. Eco-mix vinyl is using the leftover wax, every record will vary randomly in colour. Double LP is mastered at half-speed and pressed on 180g black vinyl, housed in a gatefold sleeve. The fourth full length album from the inimitable and critically acclaimed post-punkers IDLES, following on from 2020's Ultra Mono. An album of reflection and healing amid a worldwide pandemic that stretched the planet’s collective mental and physical health to the breaking point. Frontman Joe Talbot says, “We want people who’ve gone through trauma, heartbreak, and loss to feel like they’re not alone, and also how it is possible to reclaim joy from those experiences.” IDLES albums have always been anchored by these overarching themes, but the ability of the band to juxtapose beauty and rage with humor and drama has never felt more satisfying than on “CRAWLER.” These stories are vividly brought to life through IDLES’ most soul-stirring music to date, recorded with co-producers Kenny Beats (Vince Staples, Freddie Gibbs) and IDLES guitarist Mark Bowen. There are, of course, numerous moments that will inspire absolute mayhem in a packed concert venue, but there are also fresh textures and experiments that push IDLES into thrilling new territory. “I don't really see us as a ‘rock band’ and working with Kenny [Beats] freed us of the idea of genre,” Talbot enthuses. “On this album, our dissolution of ego was helped by Kenny’s humble nature and willingness to learn. He has boundless passion for making the best song possible. Not the best ‘rock’ song — the best song possible.” He continues, “It was writing selfishly that helped make it possible. Reflecting. Telling my own story. Not trying to tell everyone else's story. Not trying to fix the world — just talking about how I am fixing mine.” Partisan Records CD | LP
IDLES Ultra Mono One of our favourite albums of 2020! "Ultra Mono is another continuation of unity, compassion & punk goodness. I’ll always have time for IDLES, and they’ll always have time for you" - Tom B - Limited edition LP is on 'vortex' coloured vinyl. Deluxe LP is on black vinyl, packaged in a limited edition gatefold sleeve with a 28-page debossed Ultra Mono Catalogue. The third full length album from the critically acclaimed and inimitable IDLES. Following on from one of Banquet's fav albums of 2018, Joy As An Act Of Resistance. They play massive, arena-ready post-punk influenced tunes with a 'no bullshit, no apologies' punk attitude whilst approaching and tackling the most important issues in society. Sonically constructed to capture the feeling of a hip-hop record (including production contribution from Kenny Beats), the album doubles down on the vitriolic sneer and blunt social commentary of their past work. Not far beneath the surface of their self-admitted sloganeering lies a deeply complex and brutally relevant album that chews up clichés and spits them out as high art for the masses. This is momentary acceptance of the self. This is Ultra Mono. Partisan Records CD | LP

A live album from the incredible and critically acclaimed punks IDLES. Unleashing a massive setlist at the esteemed Bataclan in Paris. ‘A Beautiful Thing: IDLES Live at Le Bataclan’ is the brand new live album from IDLES, recorded at Le Bataclan in Paris on 3rd December 2018, at the close of a 90 date world tour. The album celebrates the band’s success over the last two years, featuring songs from ‘Brutalism’ and ‘Joy as an Act of Resistance’, and highlights their overall message of unity, and of healing through community. “Our show at Bataclan was the end of a very long journey for us. On that tour we learnt so much about ourselves, each other and the audiences we have grown with over the past 10 years. That show was nothing short of catharsis and nothing more than love. We love what we do and the people who have carried us here, there was no hiding that at Bataclan and we are so very grateful that the moment was captured in all its glory, love and fatigue. Long live the open minded and long live the moment.” - Joe Talbot Partisan Records CD | LP
IDLES Mercedes Marxist A new 7" single from the incredible Kingston visitors IDLES, following on from their 2018 album Joy As An Act Of Resistance. "Mercedes Marxist was a strange beast for us, after Rottweiler, it was the first song we wrote for Joy as an Act of Resistance. I was pissed off at what I was and where I was: I was sofa surfing on the weekends and spending the weeks looking after my mum. My life balance was way off and this song reflects just how useless I felt. It was me at my worst and without any buoyancy it became catharsis. It was the last splurge from Brutalism so we admitted it. I like it now. Joe x" Partisan Records 7"

IDLES Joy as an Act of Resistance Deluxe LP is housed in a gold glitter embossed sleeve with 18 different artwork variation inserts. Regular LP - initial run is on pink vinyl, it will revert to standard black once the first press has run out. "Rightly high in end-of-year charts across the land. No apologies, no egos, no compromises. just a bunch of friends having fun while talking about the most important issues of the day. Right band, right time. My most vital album this year, IDLES are here to break down all the barriers. This is real and it's GREAT. - Tom The highly anticipated second studio album from Bristol's IDLES, infectious and arena-ready post-punk influenced tunes. “This album is an attempt to be vulnerable to our audience and to encourage vulnerability; a brave naked smile in this shitty new world. We have stripped back the songs and lyrics to our bare flesh to allow each other to breathe, to celebrate our differences, and act as an ode to communities and the individuals that forge them. Because without our community, we’d be nothing.” Partisan Records CD | LP
