FOALS Antidotes LP is on 'recycled coloured' vinyl, meaning every record will be a unique colour. Vinyl reissue of this legendary debut album from Kingston visitors FOALS. Foals also today announce that their debut album ‘Antidotes’ will receive a long-awaited vinyl repress to commemorate the 14th anniversary of its original release. This new, single-run pressing will be manufactured using recycled vinyl records – a process which means that all copies will share a mottled, marbled effect, but that also means that each individual record is unique. ‘Antidotes’ has only previously been available on vinyl following its initial release in 2008, making it an elusive item for collectors. From what we know, this second offering is going to be a lot bolder and heavier in comparison to the infectious and dancey vibe of Part 1, whilst still retaining the cinematic and apocalyptic concepts. We can't wait. “Part two is a heavier listen, the guitars are more emphasised and there’s some big riffs on it,” explained Philippakis in an interview with NME. “It’s a rock record and it definitely carries on the narrative from part one. Part one ended with a lot of fire and destructive imagery, part two is trying to respond to that: how you can continue in the wreckage and through the scorched earth? We’re just excited for people to hear it because it completes the journey of what we’ve made over the last year-and-a-half.” CD | LP

FOALS Tapes Expected 2nd July New Slang and shop favourites Foals curate a Tapes compilation for !K7, Foals has linked up with crossover acts like The Field and Mount Kimbie for remix collaborations over the past few years, and Foals Tapes, the group's first official mix, reveals a similarly keen eye for the more experimental corners of club music. The mix will be released on CD, but its tracks are divided in half like on a cassette: one side is more song-oriented, the other is a bit more dance-y. Side A features selections from Nicolas Jaar, Clark and John Talabot, among others, while Congreave (who is also the main DJ in the band) uses Side B to work in tunes from Arnold Jarvis, Oni Ayhun, Jimmy Edgar and Midland.
