The highly anticipated second full length album from FKA Twigs, following on from the critically acclaimed, BRIT + Mercury prize nominated LP1. Created in a period where her confidence was knocked following heartbreak and laparoscopic surgery, MAGDALENE is the sound of twigs reconfiguring, emotionally and physically. As she sings on ‘Mary Magdalene’, the MAGDALENE album track that opened her highly-praised, sold-out live shows earlier in the year, “A woman’s time / A woman’s work / A woman’s time to embrace / She must put herself first”. MAGDALENE is produced by FKA twigs and, as with LP1, the recording process has been directed by her at every stage. It was recorded between London, New York and Los Angeles over the last three years and features major contributions from Nicolas Jaar alongside a host of other collaborators. MAGDALENE sees FKA twigs creating a whole new artistic universe and it is, without doubt, her most masterful, innovative work to date.

The album will be released on 24th January 2025 via Young Recordings. Eusexua is a state of being. A feeling of momentary transcendence often evoked by art, music, sex, and unity. Eusexua can be followed by a state of bliss and feelings of limitless possibility. Also used to refer to: ‘The pinnacle of Human Experience’. It is united through any moment in which we are fully embodying ourselves, present in the moment, disconnected from technology, synthesized with those around us. It was moments of Eusexua that birthed EUSEXUA the album, as twigs cites her late nights in the underground techno scene of Prague.-5:00pm start with all ages welcome. The four film pieces come together to form a single continuous FKA twigs-directed work, cementing who she is as an artist with an aggressive statement conceptualising the process of feeling pregnant with pain, birthing creativity and liberation. M3LL155X is a continuation of the holistic creative process FKA twigs has undertaken on each of her previous EP releases (‘EP1’ and ‘EP2’), with videos forming an integral part of the release. However, M3LL155X is more ambitious than ever and, in terms of concept, scope and execution, is undoubtedly FKA twigs’ most complete work to date.

After the show at ACT Kingston College, Kojey Radical visits Banquet Records for a signing session.Sonically, the album provides the most experimental and eclectic music of his career, with influences ranging from golden age Hip Hop to disco, grime to Indie, Jazz to Ska.
