Caribou Suddenly Something to look forward to in 2020 already! New Caribou album incoming, Dan Snaith's first album in what will be six years. Have a listen to the first taste, 'You & I', below. In 2014 Dan Snaith aka Caribou released Our Love to overwhelming critical acclaim and massive fan support. Now Caribou returns with his seventh studio album Suddenly, an album about family and the changes we go though as those relationships evolve. Suddenly is the most surprising and unpredictable Caribou album to date. Though it retains the trademark Caribou warmth and technicolour, this album is littered with swerves and left turns, and amazes with it’s yet unheard nuances, samples and hooks. As Snaith puts it, “these albums are like photo albums for me – when I look back at the old ones, they’re a snapshot of my life at that time, full of people who are close to you”. This is the drive to continue to make Caribou albums. Full bodies of work where Snaith is able to evaluate things, look at those around him and celebrate them. As his passion and joy in music making remains as fresh as ever, Suddenly is the purest example of this yet. City Slang CD | LP

Caribou Up In Flames [Black Friday 18] Limited Black Friday release available in store from Friday 23rd November. The Leaf Label CD | LP
Caribou Up In Flames [vinyl] Reissue of the second album by Dan Snaith, originally released as Manitoba We originally said this The next step in Manitoba's continual development! This time he's opted for live instrumentation and subdued vocals over skillfully edited and manipulated breakbeats, an entirely lush and uplifting listening experience that bears resemblance to Four Tet/Fridge kind of stuff and has even been compared to early Mercury Rev and Beach Boys too. Beautitful sun-drenched pleasure that's guaranteed to make you happy! Watch out for his material under the name Caribou as well - he had to change it on account of some legal beef of some sort... Crazy The Leaf Label LP
Caribou The Milk Of Human Kindness Non Record Store Day repress of The Milk Of Human Kindness on black vinyl + CD. Dan Snaith's first album under his Caribou guise after a lawsuit made him change his artist name from Manitoba because a New York punk band got there first. The first thing you notice about The Milk of Human Kindness is the emotional depth and range. The bear masks are off, the naked passions are running free. Like a lost album that’s just been rediscovered in a basement for the first time since 1973, it’s part reflective, campfire-comedown, part rampage of sonic discovery, reveling in energy and motion. The Leaf Label LP
Caribou Our Love Sixth studio album from Dan Snaith, featuring collaborations with Jessy Lanza and Owen Pallett. Since 2010's acclaimed Swim, Dan's toured the world DJing for Radiohead, released an album under his dancefloor-loving Daphni moniker and now returns to Caribou with a soulful offering - digital pop, hip hop beats, garagey rhythms and house basslines. Daphni / Fabric Fabric 93 The first full length body of work from Daphni (Caribou) under the name since 2012's Jiaolong album and most recently Caribou's standout 2014 album Our Love. Featuring 23 new and unreleased compositions from Daphni with four edits of other artists that makes up this Fabriclive mix. “Some of the most acclaimed underground dance tracks of recent times” - The Guardian “A lot of these tracks were recorded in situ in the mix itself - I'd put one track in place and instead of searching through existing music to find the track to follow it I'd just make an entirely new one. You’d expect a DJ mix where someone made each track to follow the previous one to be very homogenous. To seem like it was planned out and build in a controlled way. I think the result is almost exactly the opposite! The tracks on here pull from very diverse ends of the spectrum of music that I like/make. In the end, I just sort of charged ahead following my nose as to where the mix should head next. I hope that some of that sense of intuition translates to those listening to the finished mix”. Fabric CD
Daphni Hey Drum / The Truth New Daphni 12" featuring full length versions from two of the highlights from his recent fabriclive 93 that have both seen action in Dan and his comrades recent DJ sets. Jiaolong 12"
Daphni Face To Face / Tin Featuring tracks that appear on his 2017 Fabriclive mix/artist album, Daphni (Caribou / Dan Smith) brings his first release in three years under the moniker, and wow, these well worth the wait! Jiaolong 12"
Daphni Jiaolong Dan Snaith's first full length release under the monicker of Daphni! Snaith's newest label Jiaolong has been blurring boundaries recently with a host of essential techno/bass/house/afro/electronic records, much more dance floor orientated, for more intimate clubs / spaces according to the man himself... "..there is a small world where dance music lives up to its potential to liberate, surprise, and innovate. It’s there that I hope Daphni has a place." Jiaolong CD | LP
Caribou / Four Tet Melody Day Caribou’s classic anthem Melody Day out of stock for a long time, includes the legendary Four Tet Remix. CITY SLANG 7"
Caribou Start Breaking My Heart Non RSD reissue of Dan Sniaths ground breaking debut album on black vinyl. Originally released as Manitoba in 2001 this LP is now avaiilable under the Caribou name for the first time. His debut album, Start Breaking My Heart, is spliced with arcs of rainbow melody, hopscotch percussion patterns, and playground children laughing. Humanity and nature are strong threads through this album: beauty and mystery are revealed in the mundane and ordinary. It's kind of a distillation of those rare moments when you look around and feel a strange glow of contentment. The Leaf Label LP
Pick A Piper / Jeremy Greenspan / Caribou Lucid In Fjord New hand numbered 12" from Pick a Piper, the brainchild of Caribou live drummer Brad Weber, a collaborative project he shares with Angus Fraser, Dan Roberts and a few select others.Earlier this year the band released a self titled LP through the Mint label that captured perfectly their attempts to form dance music through polyrhythmic percussion, atmospheric sound design and loopy melodies. Two of the tracks from that LP have now been remixed by Caribou main man Dan Snaith and his good friend Jeremy Greenspan for the latest 12" from Phonica Whites. Greenspan attacks "Lucid In Fjords" with the sort of colourful perma building verve that makes it hard to believe this is his first official remix, whilst in Snaith's hands "Once Were Leaves" becomes something a lot more abstract - sounds weirdly like SALEM if you can remember them. Phonica White 12"
Emeralds / Daphni Does It Look Like I'm Here (Daphni Mixes) The second limited edition 12" on Dan Snaith's own Jiaolong label. 'Feted kosmische synthesizer wizards from Cleveland OH, Emeralds, have never had any of their music remixed before. Let alone having the title track from their acclaimed 2010 album reworked (twice) into a floor-filling behemoth by Daphni (aka Dan Snaith aka Caribou). "We toured together in 2010 and since then I've always wanted to play their music in my DJ sets. So I did my own version of this track", says Snaith. "It's one of those tracks that whenever I play it I can feel the energy in the room lift." Luckily Emeralds were equally enthusiastic and so this unlikely hybrid see the light of day. ...or rather the dark inside of a club.' Jiaolong 12"
Luther Davis Group / Daphni You Can Be A Star (Daphni Edit) Highly limited edit of Luther Davis Group's You Can Be A Star from the incredible Daphni, included in the Fabriclive 93 mix and heard in his dj sets. Housed in a hand screened sleeve. Jialong 12"
Jeremy Greenspan / Daphni Crown Princess / Guu New 12" on Dan Snaith's, (aka DaphniCaribouManitoba), Jiaolong label. As ever limited pressing... Jeremy Greenspan has made a name for himself as one half of Junior Boys, and he is now releases this solo single. Curiously, both “Crown Princess” and “Guu” find the singer going entirely instrumental. The former is a near ten-minute disco jam, while latter is seven minutes of jarring beats and undulating bass synth! Jiaolong 12"
Hot Chip / Daphni Night And Day (Daphni Remix) If we have stock left it will be available online from Saturday 28th April, strictly one per customer Limited edition one-sided 12" Daphni (aka Dan Snaith of Caribou) does another crackin' remix. This time its Hot Chip's Night & Day. 12" RSD 2012
Caribou / Carl Craig Your Love Will Set You Free (c2's Set U Free RMX) A brilliant remix of Caribou's Your Love Will Set You Free from Detroit legend Carl Craig. “Carl Craig is a peerless remixer. I've dreamed of having him remix one of my tracks for ages. He was one of the first people to publicly mention how much he liked 'Swim' when it was released and we've been in touch since then. Before I'd gathered up the courage to ask him to remix a track on this album he got in touch and suggested it himself. The result is superlative and speaks for itself.” - Dan Snaith Jiaolong 12"
