Caribou Up In Flames [vinyl] Reissue of the second album by Dan Snaith, originally released as Manitoba We originally said this The next step in Manitoba's continual development! This time he's opted for live instrumentation and subdued vocals over skillfully edited and manipulated breakbeats, an entirely lush and uplifting listening experience that bears resemblance to Four Tet/Fridge kind of stuff and has even been compared to early Mercury Rev and Beach Boys too. Beautitful sun-drenched pleasure that's guaranteed to make you happy! Watch out for his material under the name Caribou as well - he had to change it on account of some legal beef of some sort... Daphni / Fabric Fabric 93 The first full length body of work from Daphni (Caribou) under the name since 2012's Jiaolong album and most recently Caribou's standout 2014 album Our Love. Featuring 23 new and unreleased compositions from Daphni with four edits of other artists that makes up this Fabriclive mix. “Some of the most acclaimed underground dance tracks of recent times” - The Guardian “A lot of these tracks were recorded in situ in the mix itself - I'd put one track in place and instead of searching through existing music to find the track to follow it I'd just make an entirely new one. You’d expect a DJ mix where someone made each track to follow the previous one to be very homogenous. To seem like it was planned out and build in a controlled way. I think the result is almost exactly the opposite! The tracks on here pull from very diverse ends of the spectrum of music that I like/make. In the end, I just sort of charged ahead following my nose as to where the mix should head next. I hope that some of that sense of intuition translates to those listening to the finished mix”. Caribou / Four Tet / Morgan Geist Never Come Back (Four Tet & Morgan Geist Remixes) A limited 12" from Caribou , a great track taken from his 2020 album 'Suddenly' remixed by none other than Four Tet and Morgan Geist (Metro Area). Four Tet Remix: This is what it sounds like when the universe spontaneously synchronises. We give you the new Four Tet remix of Caribou’s latest single "Never Come Back” Kieran took the track and warped and bent it into a playfully hypnotic late night wormhole that lures you in with it’s repetitive claps, snares and synths. It will never let you go. Morgan Geist Remix: Morgan is one of the architects of modern electronic dance music and electronic pop as we know it today, whether it was as a part of influential duo Metro Area and the label Environ, as the mastermind behind chart-topping project Storm Queen or his numerous remixes, Morgan left an undeniable mark. His rework of Caribou's excellent single "Never Come Back" pays respect to the early 90ies transatlantic house phenomenon that stretched from New York to London US to Europe. City Slang 12"
