Circa Waves
Thursday 4th April at New Slang, 9:00pm, (18+)
The night before their new album is released, Circa Waves play at New Slang.
The third full length album from the awesome Circa Waves is titled What's It Like Over There. It'll see the band return to New Slang for the third time and we can't wait for another dose of their infectious, energetic and anthemic indie-rock.
Recorded in just one month, and renewing their blossoming co-producing relationship with Alan Moulder (Foals, The Killers), What’s It Like Over There? is an album that’s creatively unshackled and refuses to stay still. It fuses the visceral thrill of rock music with a slick pop sound, its themes of modern ennui, emotional fragility and all the inside-outs and upside-downs of relationships making it a record that could only have been made now.
TIMES TBC but we expect doors to be at 9:00pm with the band on at 10:30pm.
New Slang is an over 18s event, and is strict on ID. Please bring photo ID with you on the night, whatever age you are.
New Slang is held at Pryzm, 154 Clarence St, Kingston upon Thames KT1 1QP
Albums and tickets will be posted separately; the album's release date is 5th April.

Thursday 16th March at New Slang, 9:00pm
The week after their second album is released, Circa Waves return to Kingston to perform at New Slang.
The new album Different Creatures will be the follow up to the band's impressive top ten debut Young Chasers that came out in 2015, since then they've amped up their sound and are coming back a bolder version of themselves with an album full of huge songs. We're excited for the new record and another Kingston show.
“All of us wanted to make a massive change and bring in these different songs. We played indie songs before and I wanted to progress. The first album felt like a daytime record and this one’s based in the nighttime, if that makes sense. This one’s a lot more about the demons that I face – a lot of love, loss and anxiety. It’s also about the issues that everyone feels like they’re going through together at the moment. We’re in this weird time of change and everything has become different.”
After the show, it's New Slang as usual where you can expect to hear the likes of Catfish & The Bottlemen, Sundara Karma, Courteeners, Two Door Cinema Club and many more until 2AM.
9:00 - Doors 9:30 - Sheikh 10:30 - Circa Waves
If you also want the album, then combos are available from £10 HERE
Please Note: The Hippodrome is an 18+ venue. Valid PHOTO ID will be required.
New Slang is held at The Hippodrome, 1 St James Road, Kingston, KT1 2AH
