This Too Won't Pass
We're the carriers for the UK indies exclusive LP, solid gold coloured vinyl, /250. The regular LP is tri-colour gold / black / red.
"Catchy and punchy emo/alt-rock at its absolute best. It's barely left my headphones since its November release - another cautionary tale against compiling your end-of-year lists too early!" - Max
The hugely anticipated second full length album from the outstanding Can't Swim, following on from their 2017 debut Fail You Again. A unique blend of emo-punk that fluctuates between grungey rage and quiet, delicate moments, all with confessional lyrics throughout. We're big fans of the band and we can't wait to hear this record in full. If you're into the likes of Boston Manor, Citizen, Thrice or The Wonder Years, then give this a listen.
“Problems haunt you, infect you, and in time become a part of who you are. You might find ways to distract yourself or try and forget but every time you look in the mirror you’ll only see reminders of what you hate. Evil surrounds us and in time, becomes a part of who we are. Let this band be a reminder of that.”

Foreign Language
UK / EU exclusive 12" is on 'baby pink' coloured vinyl.
A new EP from one of our favourite emo-punk outfits, Can't Swim. Following on from 2018's This Too Won't Pass (one of our top 10 albums of 2018) with another dose of high-octane, punk/hardcore crossover tunes. This EP features a great set of guests as well, we're super excited to hear it.
“Foreign Language is a record that I felt necessary to put out,” explains Chris LoPorto. “These events in my life that I had never touched on in previous material, that I never had the right words for, finally made sense in the time we are living in now. To be able to write music honestly and to be transparent with our agenda, has always been the goal and ‘Foreign Language’ is the best interpretation of that yet. It is very easy to fall under criticism and do what you “think” you should do with your art – if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it – and while I too am a victim of these tropes and have hit roadblocks creativity because of the pressure, I can proudly say that this release came so naturally and organically, playing to our strengths but also letting the mistakes and mishaps have their place on the recordings”

Can't Swim
Wednesday 12th April at Banquet Records, 6:00pm
Tickets available from the shop.
Can't Swim tickets come with Fail You Again. Microwave tickets come with Much Love.
While out on their UK tour with Real Friends, the New Jersey punk driven alt-rockers Can't Swim and the indie-punk-rock four piece Microwave stop off in Kingston to play in the shop.
Can't Swim blend pop-punk with some dark and gross-pop-esque styles, their music fluctuates between being full of aggression and energy to being quiet, reserved and fragile, with a continuous raw and grungy vibe throughout. This band is a must for fans of Frank Iero, Pup, Boston Manor and Brand New.
Microwave take elements of emo and hardcore and combine it with an indie-rock approach, creating a sharp yet reserved punk rock sound. Their debut record Stovall is simultaneously dynamic and emotionally powerful while still maintaining a poetic edge, for fans of Pinegrove, Weezer, Pup and Into It. Over It.
In-store Grade B.
Anyone is welcome but priority will be given to anyone who orders a copy either album from us.
