Buffalo Tom Let Me Come Over (25th Anniversary Edition) The 25th Anniversary reissue of Buffalo Tom's third album Let Me Come Over. The release includes recordings of a live show at London ULU in 1992, the double LP contains 10 live tracks (plus a download code of the rest) while the CD contains the entire show of 17 tracks. Let Me Come Over is the sound of the trio exiting the insular underground for the wide world of “alternative” rock--but more or less bringing its best moves along with it, too. Previously loosely linked with fellow travelers Dinosaur Jr. and Uncle Tupelo via a similar three-piece format, stunning depth of songwriting and association with Boston’s Fort Apache Studios--it’s not hard to imagine Buffalo Tom wanted to stake a claim stylistically. Yet, LMCO never feels like a break with the past, it’s a transition. Inside that abstruse cover are undeniably magnificent tunes. Beggars Banquet CD | LP
Buffalo Tom Skins Available on CD & LP! LP comes with MP3 code and exclusive Buffalo Tom Postcards! Produced by the band in their hometown of Boston, Massachusetts, and mixed by long-time friends Paul Q Kolderie (who produced the band’s breakout third album, 1992’s "Let Me Come Over") and Tom Polce, Skins is the follow up to 2007’s acclaimed "Three Easy Pieces", which brought Buffalo Tom back into the spotlight after a nine-year hiatus. Skins is the first release on the band’s own Scrawny Records and features guest Tanya Donnelly of Belly, Breeders and Throwing Muses fame singing on the song ‘Don’t Forget Me’. "Skins" is everything you want from a Buffalo Tom album - its rock pummels and its ballads ache - and reminds you why they hold such a strong place in so many people’s hearts. Still comprised of the original trio of Bill Janovitz (guitars and vocals), Chris Colbourn (bass and vocals) and Tom Maginnis (drums), the song writing is as sharp and poignant today as it ever was. From the signature interplay of Janovitz and Colbourn’s vocals to the scorching guitars and rolling thunderous drum arrangements, few other bands have been able to master depth and sensitivity at such volumes. www.buffalotom.com/ Scrawny Records CD | LP Out of Stock
