Their last record saw the band push away from the aggressive pop-punk sound they were known for and into darker and more experimental territory with influences from Deftones and Nine Inch Nails, we're expecting massive things and another new approach from the genre-chemists with GLUE.“I want people to listen to it and feel something and think about things. The aim of the whole record is to make people angry. It's to make them go ‘Well, this pisses me off, how can I change it? What is one thing that I can personally do – that I can start doing today – to make a difference?’ Because we can do better than this. The whole point was to throw away any preconceived notions of what the band is and push ourselves out of our comfort zone.” These are not just the most primal and plain-speaking songs the band have ever recorded, but everything the previous seven years have been leading up to. “This is the start of our band finally becoming the band that we want to be,” concludes Cox. “It's taken us so long to get here, but I'm really proud of us for becoming our own thing. Boston Manor Welcome To The Neighbourhood The follow up to 2016's Be Nothing from Blackpool's alt-rockers Boston Manor, who we've had play a bunch of times in Kingston. Branching well out from their pop-punk roots, the newer songs are an energised blend of alt-rock soaked in darkness and melancholy. We're big fans and you should be too.In the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s, Blackpool was this booming town. It was a holiday destination, a place where you can go to forget all your troubles and now things here are just so f*cked up – there are huge drug problems and a 40 per cent unemployment rate in the winter. It was once this beautiful thing and it’s become a little bit broken."But the theme is also laced with hope. “I’m just trying to draw attention to a few issues,” continues Henry. “The things that are important to my generation are just so trivial in my eyes, but who am I to say? I can’t really offer any immediate solutions, but I can try to throw a bucket of cold water on some of my peers, to just get them to feel more and think more and not be so apathetic.” Pure Noise Records CD | LP

They've played in town a bunch of times and we're big fans of their emo influenced pop-punk. Right after this in-store they support Moose Blood on their sold out UK tour then they're off to the US then back for a big headline Euro tour so this really is a great time to catch these guys!
