Bonnie 'Prince' Billy Best Troubador The 20th album from Bonnie 'Prince' Billy, a record that pays homage to his life-long and forever hero, Merle Haggard. It’s an effort that’s “wistful and bittersweet, for the triumph of a life spent in unending pursuit of the goal: new and expressive music, as our inspirations and heroes once sang it.” Domino Records CD | LP
Bonnie Prince Billy Sings Greatest Palace Music Expected 25th November If ‘Ease Down The Road’ was Will’s Chocolate Factory (or was it the other way round?), then ‘Greatest Palace Music’ is his The R in R&B - an unstoppable hits package, full to the brim with lush luxuries for your aural pleasure. Recorded with a healthy mixture of old friends and new partners - Nashville session players and familiar (and familial) faces Ned and Paul Oldham, amongst others - Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy re-recording his fans’ favourite Palace Songs is a natural extension of the smoother goings on of ‘After I Made Love To You’ (‘Ease Down The Road’) and the countrified duets of last year’s dark masterpiece, ‘Master And Everyone’. Heavyweight vinyl. Domino LP Pre-Order
Bonnie Prince Billy Beware Expected 25th November Joining Bonnie deep in the mix of ‘Beware’, the roll call of top players includes the band (Josh Abrams, Jennifer Hutt, Emmett Kelly and Michael Zerang) and special guests (Dee Alexander, Leroy Bach, Jim Becker, Robert Cruz, DV DeVincentis, Jon Langford, Greg Leisez, Rob Mazurek, Nicole Mitchell and Azita Youseffi). ‘Beware’ is a much more measured exploration of the soul’s frailty and the sorry state of human relationships than your typical, everyday, bleaked-out, all-and-nothing roots rock platter. Where fiddle and steel contribute their rustic timbre alongside guitars and voices, a thickening thud of low tone rolls beneath, giving the record a bottom that’s fun to watch bounce in new clothes. Heavyweight vinyl. Domino LP Pre-Order
Bonnie Prince Billy Mindlessness Limited 7" from Bonnie Prince Billy from Singer's Grave a Sea of Tongues, in which "the same material that had been gathered to build 2011's Wolfroy Goes To Town was used, in a different time and under different circumstances, to make a different record, allowing the songs to impact in new ways upon the singers and the players - and, in time, our listening ears and restless minds." Tortoise & Bonnie 'Prince' Billy The Brave And The Bold A dream team up from two absolute giant forces on the indie rock / electronic / folk scene, who have been consistently innovative and popular over the 90's and this decade so far too. So you can expect some great moments from this collabo - Tortoise present the intricate backing music which is still linear enough for a song to evolve, which Will Oldham adds his road weary and slightly fable-style narrative to in inimitable style. Wonderful creations of electronically charged indie folk that will have broad appeal while still proving a winner for the Tortoise and Bonnie Prince fans! (NB) 1. 'Crave E Canela' 2. 'Thunder Road' 3. 'Its Expected Im Gone' 4. 'Daniel' 5. 'Love Is Love' 6. 'Pancho' 7. 'Thats Pep' 8. '(Some Say) I Got Devil' 9. 'The Calvary Cross' 10. 'On My Own' Domino Records CD | LP
