The second album from transatlantic pop-punkers (and Kingston visitors) As It Is.
A natural selection of feel good pop-punk that's sure to get your head nodding, food stomping or bouncing up and down! For fans of: Forever The Sickest Kids, All Time Low, The Starting Line, Neck Deep.
"These are by far the most personal and honest songs we've ever written, As It Is vocalist Patty Walters explains. "We made a conscious effort to truly push ourselves musically and lyrically, to create something that didn't feel entirely safe or calculated. We wrote songs about our families, our personal lives, and our struggles more vulnerably than ever before, hoping to encapsulate sincere moments in our lives. We feel a huge sense of pride having created this record, and we're immensely excited to share it with the world. We love and cherish you all for supporting us and giving us this opportunity."

I Went To Hell And Back
The highly anticiapted new album from the awesome Kingston visitors As It Is, following on from 2018's The Great Depression.
‘I WENT TO HELL AND BACK’, the new album from the Brighton-based alt-rock group (Patty Walters, Ronald Ish, and Alistair Testo), might have come to life over a two year period where each and every member questioned their life choices and wrestled with a world in a constant throng of chaotic uncertainty, but the band’s fourth album couldn’t sound more excited. The fourteen tracks are powerful, playful and fearlessly chase the unexpected. It’s the sound of a band still having fun
Walters formed As It Is in 2012 with “no expectations and very few ambitions. We were just hoping to have some fun and be part of the thriving punk scene here in Brighton.” Nine years later and the group are adored players in a global scene. “I’m so proud of the band we’ve become.”
The band burst into the scene and dropped Never Happy, Ever After in 2015 and followed with 2017's okay. In 2018, they returned with the critically lauded studio album The Great Depression. Having perfected their blend of pop, punk, and rock over time, As It Is have truly found their groove with ‘I WENT TO HELL AND BACK’.

The Great Depression
The third full length album from Kingston visitors As It Is, huge and emotive pop-punk and they've taken on a real sharp edge with The Great Depression. If you're into the likes of Neck Deep, Against The Current or Waterparks then get right into this.
‘The Great Depression’ is about the societal romanticization of depression, the disrepair of present-day human connection, told through the story of a man who finds himself face-to-face with Death. This album is about asking questions rather than offering answers, exploring the lines where consolation and glorification collide, and asking if art is too subjective to offer a universal solution.
We’ve approached this subject with the tremendous respect and sensitivity it warrants. Mental health awareness and prioritization has always been immensely important to us, and we want to use this platform for good and to challenge problematic behaviours and stigmas. More so than ever before, we’ll be working alongside incredible non-profits, donating proceeds to worthy causes, and using our music in hopes of creating a positive change.
This is a record we’re so incredibly proud to have written, and we can’t wait for you to experience it with us.
