Who's Afraid Of The Art Of Noise [RSD21]
This is an exclusive release for Record Store Day 2021 - Drop 2. Available from us on Saturday 17th July from 6:00pm. Click notify me above to be kept up to date. A reissue of ‘Who’s Afraid of…?’, the debut album from pioneering British synth-pop act The Art of Noise, featuring Oscar and Grammy Award winning composer Anne Dudley and hugely successful producer Trevor Horn. ‘Who’s Afraid of..?’ was one of the first releases on the fledgling ZTT label in 1984 and has been unavailable on vinyl since it was repressed and repackaged in 1985. UMC will make it available on 180gm vinyl for Record Store Day 2021, as a new limited edition release featuring a second LP of rare Art of Noise recordings, presented as ‘Who’s Afraid of… Goodbye?’ These are making their first appearance on vinyl and were previously only available as part of the now deleted 2006 box set, ‘What Have You Done With My Body, God?’ For aficionados of the brilliant ZTT catalogue “this has been number 34 in Zang Tuum Tumb’s Incomplete Incidental Series, number 17 in the Complete Element Series, and now number 24 in the Definitive Definition Series.”

In Visible Silence (Vinyl)
Double LP on 180g transparent blue vinyl. The album was the first (and only) The Art of Noise album to spawn two UK top 20 hit singles; “Peter Gunn” and “Paranoimia”. The original album is remastered and this reissue features 17 extra tracks above the very original vinyl LP edition of In Visible Silence. The second LP features some previously unreleased tracks. All tracks are taken from the original master tapes and the remastering sessions were overseen by Anne Dudley, JJ Jeczalik and Gary Langan.

In Visible Silence (Deluxe Edition)
Deluxe reissue of the second studio album from art-pop band Art Of Noise, originally released in 1986 In Visible Silence is filled with off-kilter dance tracks with the post-punk edge of the 80's. The album has now been remastered with additional tracks, including demos, B-sides and alternative mixes. Formed at a time when the reverberations of punk, post-punk and new wave could still be felt, they were determined to be a different kind of group, a group that set themselves outside the then currents of fashion and style, a group that were the missing link between The Monkees and Talking Heads, Abba and Kraftwerk, Frank Zappa and The Archies. Their unique sounding instrumental compositions relied heavily on the innovative use of digital samples and computers to create their famous sound collages.

Moments In Love (12") [RSD]
This is an exclusive release for Record Store Day 2017. If we have stock left it will be available online from Saturday 29th April, strictly one per customer. Moments In Love is the third single by English avant-garde synthpop group Art of Noise (also The Art of Noise). Moments In Love wasn't released globally as a commercial single until 1985, when the song was featured on the Pumping Iron II: The Women soundtrack. The version that was used on this soundtrack was 'Moments in Love (Beaten)'. Next to the 7-inch version, the 12-inch features the remixes 'Moments In Love (Beaten)' and the slower 'Love Beat'. The 12-inch also includes an edit of 'Beat Box (Diversion One)', listed on the release as 'Beatbox (Diversion 10)'.

In No Sense? Nonsense!
Tracklisting & description is detailing the Double LP. Double LP on 180g turquoise coloured vinyl. The third album, In No Sense? Nonsense!, by the English avant-garde synth- pop band Art Of Noise is an experimental record. The instrumental power is besides the traditional band sounds (electric guitars, drums, and synthesizers) made up by orchestral and choral music. Art Of Noise created a piece where everything fits together in the sound as a whole. The perfect production is an advance to these wonderful and versatile songs. Some of the songs were included in Hollywood movies like Dragnet (which won Art of Noise a second Grammy nomination), Spies Like Us (with Paul McCartney), and Earth Girls are Easy.
