The Cribs 24-7 Rock Star Shit Indies LP is pink with purple splatter. The DVD features The Cribs memorable performance, live in Millennium Square Leeds, Fri 22nd July 2016 (24 tracks). The seventh studio album from The Cribs, excellent indie-rock with a classic and thunderously good feel. Produced by Steve Albini (Nirvana, Pixies), we're super excited for this one. The Cribs’ new album started out from offcuts from the sessions around their fifth album ’In The Belly Of The Brazen Bull,’ which came out in 2012. Originally the band intended to release them on an EP, but once things got going, The Cribs they found themselves with their seventh album! ”That approach just really suits us, we were just having too much fun I guess,” they said in a press release. Drahla Third Article Blending wiry post-punk with unpredictable art-rock, Drahla have garnered early critical praise with their first singles, including Faux Text / Burden of Proof which was released via Too Pure Singles Club earlier this year. Formed in late 2015, Drahla quickly found their identity in Leeds’ fertile music scene with their minimal yet robust bass-heavy sound, while their reputation as a fervent live act saw them sharing stages with Parquet Courts, The Cribs, Buzzcocks, Dream Wife, Menace Beach and more. Produced by Hookworms’ MJ, Third Article documents Drahla’s progression from promising DIY outfit to a formidable and distinctive band who’ve built on the early support from the likes of BBC Radio 6 Music, DIY magazine and Loud and Quiet. Third Article makes its intention clear with EP opener Form of Luxury, an ice-cool yet spiky slab of noise-rock. Silk Spirit and Circuit typify Drahla’s sonic trademarks, where sharp, off-kilter guitar riffs juxtapose with singer / bassist Luciel Brown’s composed, self-assured vocal. Guitarist Rob Riggs takes lead vocal on the caustic EP closer New Living Creation, which also adds saxophone for an erratic yet purposeful statement of intent. BLANK AD 12"

You Me At Six / Decade Thursday 4th October at New Slang, 9:00pm This is the 18+ show. If you want to go to the early all ages show CLICK HERE. --- The night before their new album is released, You Me At Six return to Kingston to play at New Slang. The 6th full length album from the awesome alt-rockers is titled VI and they're continuously pushing their style from pop-rock into more towering territory with some electro-pop surprises. Their influence is massive, with them leading the way in UK alt-rock alongside Lower Than Atlantis, Twin Atlantic, Deaf Havana, The Xcerts and Don Broco. They were last here for an acoustic show at The Rose Theatre at the very start of 2017 and we're delighted to see them come back. VI is not what you might expect a You Me At Six album to sound like. Recorded at VADA Studios with Dan Austin (Biffy Clyro, Massive Attack, Pixies), and for the first time ever co-produced by the band, the new album showcases the band as they’ve never been heard before - switching moods and styles with breathless confidence. Whilst retaining their bite, VI sees them flourish with uplifting alternative pop tracks such as ‘Back Again’, ‘3AM’ & ‘Pray For Me’, straying into new territories with electro dance floor leanings on ‘IOU’, while heavier tracks like ‘Fast Forward’ & ‘Predictable’ are set to strike a chord with the band’s long standing rock fanbase. Stage times TBC but we expect it to run as: 9:00pm - Doors 9:30pm - Decade 10:30pm - You Me At Six After the show, it's New Slang as usual where you can expect to hear the likes of Wolf Alice, The Vaccines, Frank Turner, The Cribs, Circa Waves, White Lies and many more until 2AM. Albums and tickets will be posted separately, the album is released 5th October. Album+Ticket combos are available from £16, more ticket options available here. New Slang is held at Pryzm, 154 Clarence St, Kingston upon Thames KT1 1QP Pryzm is an 18+ venue. Valid photo ID is required for admission (passport, driving licence, PASS card). No ID, no admission.
