Celebrating the release of their third full length album titled Moral Panic, the excellent alt-rockers Nothing But Thieves return to Kingston to play at New Slang.
“An interviewer in Kuala Lumpur asked us why we don't have a huge amount of songs about relationships or love. We hadn't really thought about it before. The answer was that songs like that have been done to death and they rarely capture what love is actually like for most. Songs tend to be idealistic or Hollywood. Real Love Song was an attempt to write a song about love from a self-aware perspective. It's about the darker side of love - the painful, unrequited kind. It's love lost or love never gained. Thank you to that interviewer from Malaysia - without you, this song would never exist.” - The band on Real Love Song
Times TBC. It'll be usual New Slang times if that's possible (9:00pm doors, band on stage at 10:30pm)
CD/ticket is £15 post-paid, and other formats and combos are available.
New Slang is an over 18s event, and is strict on ID. Please bring photo ID with you on the night, whatever age you are.
New Slang is held at Pryzm, 154 Clarence St, Kingston upon Thames KT1 1QP
