To combat touts, customers will be required to give their name when purchasing tickets and will be required to produce photo ID matching that name for entry to the gig. Tickets are not transferable.
The name of the lead booker will be on all tickets. Where more than one ticket has been purchased, all guests in the party must enter the venue together. To gain entry to the show, the lead booker must bring the tickets along with valid photo ID matching the name on the tickets.
To celebrate the release of their seventh full length album, Kaiser Chiefs make a welcoming return to New Slang. They were last here in 2016 to play two sold-out shows at The Hippodrome but now they're back with their seventh full length album, titled Duck.
Duck was recorded and mixed with producer Ben H. Allen, who previously collaborated with the band on 2014’s number one album Education, Education, Education & War. Other production collaborators include Iain Archer (Liam Gallagher, James Bay) with additional mixing by Mark “Spike” Stent (U2, Ed Sheeran, Arcade Fire) who worked with Kaiser Chiefs on defining single Everyday I Love You Less and Less.
It’s a record that harks back to the everyday explorations of their breakthrough early albums. “We wanted to do something that had a Kaiser Chiefs DNA but still try and do something different” says bassist Simon Rix. “It has the right spirit.”
CD/ticket is £17 post-paid, and other formats and combos are available.
New Slang is an over 18s event, and is strict on ID. Please bring photo ID with you on the night, whatever age you are.
Support for this show will be coming from Tom Speight.
After the show, it's New Slang as usual where you can expect to hear songs from the likes of Mystery Jets, The 1975, Everything Everything, The Vaccines, Wolf Alice, The Cribs, Circa Waves and many more until 2AM.
Albums + Tickets will be posted separately, the album's release date is 26/07/19. Indies exclusive LP is on 'light blue' coloured vinyl.
New Slang is held at Pryzm, 154 Clarence St, Kingston upon Thames KT1 1QP
