Celebrating their tenth anniversary in 2010, Hundred Reasons have done a fair bit in the last decade. Four albums on three different labels, Best New Band, Best Album and Best Unsigned Band at the Kerrang! Awards, hundreds of gigs all over the world, six Top 40 singles, over 280,000 albums sold. Next year will see them start work on album five. The radio edit of 'Break The Glass' was released to coincide with their most recent UK tour.

The JB Conspiracy
released one of the best ska albums of the decade in the shape of 2007's 'This Machine' (on our own Banquet Records!) and have been touring it ever since, travelling across the UK and Europe multiple times. They've played with the likes of Rancid, Less Than Jake, Streetlight Manifesto, Voodoo Glow Skulls and Sonic Boom Six. 'Up In Smoke' is a demo from their second album, due to see the light of day in 2010.

We are giving away a guestlist +1 spot for the bands show at the London Underworld on 20th Dec (supporting Assorted Jellybeans) . You just have to be the first (from 12pm) person to email GONE sorry!

Scholars
are a 4 piece rock band from Hemel Hempstead with fire in their hearts and a passion for progression. In 2009 they've played all over the UK, sharing stages with Hundred Reasons, Canterbury, Tubelord and The Xcerts, among others. 'I Beg Your Pardon' is a brand new, previously unreleased demo; you can also grab their Xmas 2008 take on weepy standard 'Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)' originally by Darlene Love. You'll be able to hear 2009's Christmas cover on their myspace from 16th December.

If you have a vague understanding that a guitar is for playing, not for putting stickers on and carrying around the town in hope that you are asked if you are in a band, if you drink mead and don't mind it dribbling on your beard, if you can appreciate the blacksmith and his wife, if you taste vomit in your throat and want to lash out when you see a dumb catwalk model in an AC/DC shirt...
That is a lot "IF's" but maybe...JUST MAYBE.. this six minutes plus of men's metal "THE MEADOW" by Sheffield's Black Spiders will be the best six minutes plus of your year so far. Year? LIFE
