The Molotovs Friday 30th January

The Rifles Tuesday 3rd February

For the band from Kalamazoo, Michigan, it’s more than just a name; it’s what’s held them together through college and the strange process of becoming an adult. Whether unpacking tour burnout or the shame of outgrowing your past, they’re constantly rejecting irony in favor of something much bolder: sincerity.On their upcoming second full-length, these things happen, saturdays at your place take everything that made their early material resonate—twinkly guitars, heart-on-sleeve songwriting, a distinctly Midwestern ache—and stretch it into something even more resonant. Puma Blue Thursday 5th February

The album fuses lo-fi jazz balladry with jungle breaks, krautrock textures and trip-hop atmosphere, drawing comparisons to Portishead, Jeff Buckley, and D’Angelo.Written in solitude and brought to life in collaboration, Croak Dream was conjured from tape loop sessions at Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios, co-produced and engineered by Sam Petts-Davies (The Smile, Frank Ocean) where the band improvised to fragments of Allen’s songs they’d never fully heard. Big Big Train Saturday 7th February

Your e-ticket will be delivered to your email address in time for the show (typically the day before the event.To celebrate the release of the new album 'Woodcut', Big Big Train lead singer Alberto Bravin, violinist Clare Lindley and band founder/bassist Gregory Spawton visit Kingston to play an afternoon acoustic set at The Grey HorseBig Big Train, the award-winning, progressive rock band, issue their 16th studio album. Woodcut is a landmark release for the international group, whose line-up draws together members from England, Scotland, Italy, the USA, Sweden and Norway, in that it marks their first ever full-length conceptual piece. “The story isn’t set in any particular timeframe, but it’s about The Artist, who is struggling with life,” founding member Gregory Spawton begins. “He takes a stroll and finds this piece of heartwood and creates something that he considers beautiful and different. Maybe it’s a dream or maybe it’s real life, but he finds himself stepping into this Narnia-style woodcut world.” A more band-based effort, Woodcut sees all seven members making stunning contributions, with frontman Alberto Bravin taking the lead as producer: “This time it’s kind of a new statement for the band. ‘Woodcut’ is a big step forward for us,” he comments.
