Boca 45 Digs Cavendish

All copies are hand numbered and signed by Boca45 in the paper inner sleeve, but please note: white paper inner sleeves have a very slight tear where record had shot through the sleeve when delivered to us.

Back In 2018 I was DJ’ing in Liverpool as part of the annual ‘Sound City’ festival. After my set, a group of enthusiastic people approached me and congratulated me and wondered if I’d heard of Cavendish Music, as that’s who they work for. Being a bit of a record digger, I of course knew of the amazing Cavendish Series, from the late 60’s to the early 70’s, as well as the Boosey & Hawkes albums.

One of the cavendish crew, passed me his card and said to get in touch if I was ever around the Kings Cross region of London, to have a hunt into their vaults and see if anything came to fruition
So that’s what I did!

Ever since, my recent projects (Forty Five LP, 2020 Donuts LP & Figure Of Speech LP) have all contained Cavendish/Boosey samples, and the Cavendish team have been a joy to work with.

Consequently, I wanted to create a tribute by making a full record of material using the incredible vintage sound sources from their library of music, whilst putting my Boca 45 spin onto them from my studio in Boogie Down Bristol.
