Celebrating the release of their third full length album titled Foolish Loving Spaces, Blossoms make a welcoming return to Kingston to play at New Slang.
Foolish Loving Spaces was produced by the band’s consistent and talented team of James Skelly and Rich Turvey at Parr Street Studios in Liverpool. Tom Ogden’s increasingly direct lyrical range turns album three into a romantic page-turner of light and shade, while its divergent moods are supplied by Myles Kellock’s piano and keyboard lines, careering from urgent stabs of TV game show-theme synth to more classic, rolling notes. The record’s multi-instrumental colour and widescreen sound is provided by pedal steel / lead guitarist Josh Dewhurst, while Joe Donovan on drums and Charlie Salt on bass bring fluidly danceable grooves throughout, complemented on occasion, by a wall of gospel harmony.
Times TBC but we expect doors at 9:00pm with Blossoms on stage at 10:30pm
After the show, it's New Slang as usual where you can expect to hear the likes of The Cribs, Sundara Karma, Catfish & The Bottlemen, FOALS, Circa Waves and many more until 2AM.
CD/ticket is £20 post-paid, and other formats and combos are available. Albums and tickets will be together, the album is released 31st January 2020. PLEASE NOTE: If you choose Collect In-store as your delivery option your full order will need to be collected from our shop rather than from the venue.
New Slang is an over 18s event, and is strict on ID. Please bring photo ID with you on the night, whatever age you are.
New Slang is held at Pryzm, 154 Clarence St, Kingston upon Thames KT1 1QP
