It's Record Store Day on the 17th April which means exclusive releases all over the place!
On Saturday 17th April a thousand independent record shops across eighteen countries and four continents - including 150 in the UK - will throw open their doors to celebrate Record Store Day. The aim is to highlight the continuing contribution of indie stores to music.
Quite why there has to be a chosen day where record stores are appreciated, when most of us are open all year round, we're not sure (everyday is record store day right?) but it does mean there's some great stuff coming out.
We'll be open at 10am, it's first come, first served on the day and all of these releases are strictly one per customer. We may only be getting one or two copies of some of these. Note that there are US Record Store Day titles which will not be available in the UK (and vice versa). We've got loads going on too, with Canadian hardcore gods Cancer Bats, and chart toppers Tinie Tempah and Professor Green all in town to help us mark the occasion - check out our Record Store Day events
