The continued sagas of Madlib's helium voiced, trumpet faced alter ego! I don't know where he finds the time to make all this stuff but, well, he manages somehow... It's a similar ride to 'The Unseen' - yes, you can expect some severely weeded/weirded out adventures and strange combinations of sounds and influences, which all trace back to the crates and Madlib's unhidden love of finding old vinyl oddities and straight up deep digging in general. The beats are a really addictive blend of untraceable soul, hip hop, psyche rock and hard funk, and while it sometimes seems a little random and thrown together - loosely stitched to make it have some sort of order! - it's the kind of thing that you grow to love, and it's definitely what gives it it's undeniable character. There's so much going on at all times you can't absorb it all once, which is why on repeated listens you'll really start to appreciate what's going on.

So join Stones Throws most productive and multi talented rap cat on this peculiar but truly enjoyable journey - this is definitely one for the Madvillain lover in you... (NB)
