Ex Banquet employee Katie Malco releases her new EP on Alcopop! Lovely Stuff!
Recorded in the quaint surroundings of a church with Iain Archer (Snow Patrol & Tired Pony), the new EP is a wonderful example of her evolution as an artist, leaving behind the DIY of old for a more furnished sound. The Fife songstress blossoms wonderfully across 5 folk-laden tracksto show that the ex Banquet Records songstress is in fine voice.
Complete with a band including members from Tubelord, HYHI + Freeze the Atlantic she delivers this – her first EP with us, and one of the most beautiful things you’ll hear all year. Comparisons with Laura Marling, Monkey Swallow the Universe and even Tracy Chapman kinda work – but she crafts her own unique sound. The EP Hand crafted, looking wonderful and comes with a triple cover concept (seriously, you get all 3 covers as slot in pics which you can change whenever you feel the need)
