Brother & Bones come to New Slang on 29th March!

At New Slang for the first time, the band bring their folk rock stylings to Kingston fresh from supporting Ben Howard! Fans of Mumford & Sons and The Dead Weather don't hold back, this is a must.

Support comes from:

Jake Hart a very talented young man. His musical writting skills vary from song to song. On one you'll find nods to the likes of Foals - dancey beats and melodic guitars. On the next you'll find something a lot more minimal and a bit darker. Its a great mix and sure to keep you interested!

Abbie Broom. Following in similar footsteps as Laura Marling, she writes heartfelt, timeless folk songs with natural vocals matched with very modern tales of teen life. Abbie recently sang with Brian 'Gaslight Anthem' Fallon at the London date of the 2011 Revival Tour.

After the bands we love to play dancey indie with everything from Maccabees to M83, Bombay Bicycle Club to The Skints until 2am!

Our indie night, 'New Slang' is into its 6th year now and we love doing it as much as when we first started. Some of our fave bands in the world come to play and then we dance to the indie hitz till 2AM.

New Slang is held at The Hippodrome on St James Road!

New Slang is at The Hippodrome every Thursday. A great room for watching bands with a PA we've bought week by week for this room, new lighting and a massive dancefloor to lose yourself in.. and with sensibly priced drinks (Stella is £2.10 a bottle) and that New Slang vibe, we love it there!
