Hiya!
The Record Store Day lists are
growing and growing. Our priorities and info is slowly making
its way to http://www.banquetrecords.com/RSD12
So many great new
releases out this week. Lostprophets
is the obvious big one for us and they come to play Kingston on the day
of release! Also playin for us on the day of release is The
Futureheads (gonna be a busy day!). So many
more great albums out this with Keaton Henson, Graham
Coxon, All The Young all with new albums and some
re-issues from Frank
Turner, Biffy Clyro and Laura Marling
A few shows, a signing to our label, some more bands on Banquet's Big Day Out and some brilliant RSD12 additions to be announced this week. Don't miss out!!! Join the Banquet Facebook the New Slang fan page, the Banquet's Big Day Out facebook and follow @banquetrecords on Twitter.
With the sheer amount of releases for this year's Record Store Day you should be very grateful there's not too many singles out this week. Shields is probably the highlight - and we like their sound enough to book them onto next week's New Slang show with Hatcham Social. Loads more about as you'd expect. Hit http://bnqt.co/2apr for a few more.
![]() One of THE most
plentiful week's releases in ages, there's so much to choose from.
Album of the week is the brilliant a capella album from The Futureheads. They've played instore for us a few times and we know how well they can pull this off. They play instore again to support this release at the unusually early time of 1:00pm! Keaton Henson's albums a real beaut, Blur man Graham Coxon is back, we're selling LOADS of the expanded vinyl re-release of Biffy Clyro's debut, All The Young keep British rock'n'roll alive and Laura Marling also presents an enhanced re-release, this one on CD!
![]() BANQUET EXCLUSIVE's on Say
Anything LP and the Blink 182 Represses! And We've signed Hit The
Lights to Banquet Records. Check out the Indie albums and punk pre order pages too! ![]() Frank Turner's "Sleep Is For The Weak" never actually came out on vinyl before, so a decade or so on, here it is! This dude needs no introduction to any Banquet customer, but what is worth mentioning is how real and honest an artist he is. Its all too rare! This week marks the UK release of the Tonight Alive EP - great pop-punk from Australia given a UK home on our own Banquet Records label. Loads more brilliant albums about from the likes of Sharks, The Skints, Say Anything and Anti-Flag and plenty more coming on the punk pre-order page including Blink 182 re-presses, the Jimmy Eat World 3xLP releases and an exclusive on the new Joyce Manor vinyl. Loads more expected throughout the week - Keep an eye on the twitter, and on the punk pre-order page to use the 'notify me' feature ![]() A great selection of shows last week, but this week tops it! On Monday alone we have a lunch time instore from The Futureheads before a massive sold out release show at The Hippodrome from LostProphets - Their first Kingston gig in 11 years! On Tuesday we've got a show from another band we were putting on over a decade ago in Vanilla Pod, and Thursday we have Breton playing at New Slang the night before Good Friday. Friday we've got Sharks finising off their headline tour in Kingston and later that night its Basher and Xtrah at Repeater Sessions at D.A.N.C.E. which is now on Fridays! Early bird tickets for Banquet's Big Day Out - an outdoor event on June 4th - have now gone. More announcements being made on that soon. Don't miss out...
