Mosca is one of those people that can turn a crowd at the drop of a needle. Anyone who's seen his energetic, all encompassing club sets can testify to his levity and the sheer scope of styles he touches on over the course of 60+ minutes. "Done Me Wrong" and "Bax" are the two tracks that make up, surprisingly, his debut release for Numbers and display a myriad of influences that make up his sound. "Done Me Wrong" takes garage swing, 4x4 bassline, and heavy vocal cutting and churns it into a buzzing bassline / UKF hybrid. The seriousness of the drop on this record is displayed by the fact that Mosca's actually programmed a re-wind into the track itself! A rare and unusual production aesthetic that actually works geniusly at elevating the track to the dizzy heights it deserves. "Bax" on the flip is an urgently uptempo number - with a simply but effective FM melody accompanying some tightly wound drums before the same melody is mirrored in a rib-shakingly fat bassline. This is gonna make the floor shake to buggery yet the highs and melody still pierce through the mix wonderfully. The vocal refrain, a jungle-MC style delivery of 'My DJ is live in the place' is certain to get all the rude boys 'n' girls pointing to the ceiling pulling some serious swagger. The boy’s gone done it again!
