For Doldrums third release we get the recording debut of key RinseFM DJ Braiden. With a DJ mixing style that thrives on the element of surprise - apart from playing the latest funky and future-garage anthems, he also pitches in undiscovered glitch or disco-infused music - it's no surprise that his own material would have crossover appeal. A hybrid of rugged house muscle and raw (UK) funky flex, "The Alps" is a killer piece of dancefloor music for varied club sessions. Less UKF, more DT (Detroit techno) is the flipside remix by Workshop and FXHE don Kassem Mosse. Featuring a driving rhythm topped with a jittery shaker and clanking cowbells, and seriously bottomed out with one of the fattest sub rumbles you'll feel all year, this will have the crowd begging for more.
