Jack Webb aka Button Basher was a super talented guy who was part of the Drop collective performing a handful of very memorable shows, solo as well as along side long time collaborator Jon 1st, in Leicester, Kingson's Braille night & further afield. Tragically, Jack recently lost his battle with cancer.
Braille, Drop, Jack's brother Tom aka Onion & other close friends combined to host a special fundraising night in memory of Jack on the 7th January 2010. 'The Salmon Shuffle' night in aid of The Princess Alice Trust in Esher saw all proceeds from the night go to this charity which helped Jack through his illness.
This album is a collection of Jack's work compiled by his brother Tom from the original files on his computer & features collaborators Jon 1st, Andy Baker & The Fez (with artwork by Tom 'Onion' Webb) & sits somewhere between the heavy beat based goodness of DJ Shadow & dirtier low end driven sounds of modern bass music with influences from electronics, dubstep, hip hop & more throughout.
Every penny of the £5 retail price of the cd will go to this charity.
